I tried milanote after your recommandation. It's a cool tool, but I reached the point of "Your workspace is almost full, upgrade for unlimited space" way too soon. The free version is not really usable and the subscription pricing model makes it way to expensive.

Thank you so much for acknowledging that clothes should work seated! I’m chronically ill & disabled, sometimes use a wheelchair, sometimes a rollator and it’s not just the comfort issue, but so many clothes just LOOK weird sitting down (especially seated in the posture of using a wheelchair which is very compact and symmetrical). Like all pants look bad in a wheelchair, why? Another thing I struggle with is that so much of fashion the proportions are created for standing (which as you pointed out is so silly because MOST of us sit most of the time disabled or non disabled!), and just don;t really function the same seated. If you ever wanted to do a video or even portion of a video looking at styling or outfit ideas for seated proportions i would LOVE that, and I’m sure there are others who would to.

yes yes yes! i'm a fellow chronically ill girly and relate so hard! i love the look of jeans but only rarely wear them because they actually hurt to sit in for any length of time. i wish simultaneously comfortable and cool clothes were more accessible. i don't wanna just be in sweat pants all the time...

First of all, can we take a moment to appreciate the cinematography? The editing? The craftsmanship of this video? Stunning. The different camera angles, the outfits for different segments, the background music that actually lends to the atmosphere of the video instead of disrupting it, the clean transitions and framing; chef’s kiss. I’ve noticed it for a while, honestly, and I feel like Miss Liz Beepworld’s efforts are absolutely paying off! Second, if I ever have children, I will show them this video for educational purposes. I’m so not a mood board person and am not organized, but this is making me want to actually try to commit to organization, planning, and tracking with my wardrobe and outfits. And I feel like this is so perfect because no one can really solve your style dilemmas except yourself, so this is a “help you help yourself” lesson. Love it! Finally, I love it when you style outfits in videos! The teaching and research are also great, but I enjoy seeing other people create outfits (art, honestly), as I just think it’s so fun to see what combos people can come up with. It was fun to see that again in this video. (I was a little sad we didn’t get a close-up of those pants in your first styled outfit. Maybe one day.)

I work while seated and I was mind-blown when you mentioned that clothes should work for when we are seated. I never really thought about that and would blame my belly fat for being uncomfortable in my jeans. But at least I tend to choose clothes that are comfortable for me to sit down in most of the times, even if my thinking process of choosing them didn't consciously include that detail. Maybe that is the reason why I have been so much into dresses in the last few years.

@@squash6497 Same. Not as in having a sixpack but I'm thin and still EAT obviously. Like the only time I can get away with high waisted or even mid rise jeans is when I'm out all day and only sit down for coffee and a piece of cake or a sandwich max.

about identifying things you don't like on yourself: kinda obvious but this is also a thing you should do slow! your mood on a certain day will affect how good you feel in a certain siluette or garment or color. I think it can also be important to learn to differentiate between discomfort with an outfit and discomfort with...yourself I guess? if that makes sense. or not necessarily You in general, but small things like not feeling good with your current hairstyle (I'm in the process of growing out a buzzcut so I get it lol) or feelikg bad about the condition of your skin (we all have breakouts!) and stuff like that. like give it a few tries before deciding that this cut of trousers is no longer your thing etc. ofc sometimes you just Know that a garment or style is not for you! but sometimes you need to chew it over. I think that kind of pondering is important especislly before getting rid of things in your wardrobe. AND I think the most important thing is recognizing that when you're uncomfortable with a thing about your looks, A) your outfit is not the problem here. no need to panic and B) you dont always need to fix the thing that's actually bothering you! sometimes you Can't fix said thing! and that's Fine!!! you don't need to look your best at all stages of your life. you don't Need to look your best ever actually, but you get what I mean. It was very important for me to get comfortable with that uncomfortableness, if that makes sense. stop figting against it and just let it be. Accept that the outfit is the clothes and I'm just wearing it, my body is NOT part of the outfit and thus not a thing I need to fix.

The point about being seated is so fascinating to me! I just recently went from working a job where I stand all day to one where I’m seated(my feet are so grateful!), and I’m astonished by how many of my tops/pants don’t fit nearly as well after sitting for multiple hours straight. I have button ups that bulge, waistbands that become too tight, and pant legs that now aren’t nearly long enough so my ankles show over my socks. The transition had been rough style wise, so I’m super looking forward to using these points and tweaking my work style to feel like my casual style but like… in a practical, work appropriate way.

Wow!!! You worked so hard for this, it’s truly amazing. I have been stuck in a rut for 7 years, and only recently have felt that I can move forward creatively. I have years and years of Pinterest boards, that I look back and admire. But that’s where it stops. Recently what has helped is to match items together that I have never before, get my creative juices working. I also found you and other KZbinrs so inspirational and I get so many ideas. I am a working mom with a side hustle, the time to make all the board and stuff feels like it might be overwhelming for me. But the concepts I love. Maybe I can do this , in a condensed version. My favorite part of changing this up, is that I don’t have to buy anything new. It’s all about using what I have in different ways, or tailoring things to make it fit nice. I also make clothing patterns and sew (professionally), which helps my style process, if I hate something, I take it apart and make something new from it 😅

First of all, happy new year! Second, I wanted to say that with yours and hlp's videos I feel like I'm genuinely getting closer to achieve irl the style I want, is just so helpful to see your outfit combinations and your creativity, but also to listen to your thoughts on fashion in general! I am too on my way to try to find the right fit (lol) for my wishlist, and it is kind of incredible how hard it is to find comfy shoes (that aren't just sneakers) and good under-layer garments for when you basically work in two towns with much different climate and your current winter closet is 70% acrylic sweaters 😅. All in all I would like to give a try to the multimedia board, because I usually just use pinterest and my notes, I'm sure having both together will be worth the effort

love this video! I have had many similar realizations about my style in the past few years so this made me happy to see :) My most recent realization is that I simply can’t wear things that make me inherently feel uncomfortable/insecure (this may sound very obvious) but sometimes I tried to convince myself I’ll be fine in something and spent the day being all uncomfortable- I had to be 100% fr with myself and just cut out the garments that bother me to my core and I’ve never felt better not trying to force them into outfits being very picky and choosy in the first place about clothes functionality and feeling is actually a great thing to never have that happen again !

Okay if you’re very inconsistent with your style get base pieces that are comfy and fit you well that are in relatively neutral colors or looks. Ex: a really nice skirt in black then style it however you feel that day! I’ll have a beige or black skirt that is in a style I like like box pleats and then I’ll put on a top that I like for that day (ex: maximalist top will fit well but so will simplistic) this way you can not over consume and pair all your fun unique pieces in a way that allows you to wear them basically all the time and if you change aesthetics you can just have a variety of unique pieces and a base of neutral pieces!

Sensations to avoid!! This has become my main factor to consider as I get older. Sweaty is a big one thanks and has pushed me to only consider wool and cotton for non-athletic clothing.

Thanks for showing your process, I am hyped up now to try it myself. I am a bit intimidated because I feel I am not as far in my style journey as you are, but hey practice makes perfect and I am here to enjoy the ride.

Totally understandable! This is definitely something that can evolve over time and a process you can repeat in the future as your style shifts too:) You got this, I hope you have fun!!

I love your videos but I mostly watch them with headphones and all the clicking sound effects mess with my head 😅 Still worth the watch though!

As someone in the medical field who wear scrubs every day I’m getting rid of like the majority of my closet since I hate looking at my beautiful clothes that I never ever wear 🥲
