Thank you for sharing this! I have become tired of looking for and not finding tutorials like this one. I finally found this one and it's just what I needed. This seems to be an esoteric subject and compositors don't seem to want to share. Thank you for being selfless.

Thanks so much for this awesome tutorial! And can you show a little more detail about how you change the color of the light like 21:20, and how the skylight work to darken the whole comp as scene 03:00?

I really love this style. It's like you get a mixture of 2D and 3D all in a package. Post Production work is my favorite but I love all the pre Production, storyboarding, design and layout that comes first as well.

amazing works Daniel. can you tell me your computer spec ? :O
@DanielGies7 жыл бұрын
Oh geeze I can't remember for this project. It would probably be a pretty average PC these days. The main thing you want with AFX is RAM, if you can get your hands on a solid state drive to use as a cache drive it is helpful. Make sure it is plugged into a USB 3.0 or SATA port though. Graphics card isn't crazy specific and a decent CPU is desirable, but it doesn't have to be top level at all. You could probably get a decent PC to do this work for under $2000.

which resolution setting for after effect 2d animation from illustrator. because when i use camera zoom my animation character is cracking. what can i Do please help.
@DanielGies7 жыл бұрын
Sharif, It depends on how close your camera is going to get to the character. I usually do a minimum of 3000 pixels X 3000 pixels if I can. This gives you a good size for wide shots and medium shots for an HD (1920X1080) film. If you are going to be doing close-ups with the puppet go bigger if you can, but it can get slow to animate. Sometimes it works just fine to have a high resolution head and a lower resolution body. I hope that helps.
