I love your dress and shoes, now that dresser is beautiful. I bought a high end wall paper at goodwill and will be using that. I do not use glue since my dresser is in mint condition. I love your table. Thanks for your video.

I would never be sure enough of my placement to do this wet method. Why not just let 2 coats of the modpodge dry, place your wrapping paper where it needs to go and then use parchment paper over the wrapping paper and iron it in place? Works SOOOO well for napkins without wrinkles or bubbles...so I imagine it would work well for this paper as well. As long as you have enough dried modge podge underneath to melt it with the clothes iron in order for it to properly adhere. I also use waterbased polycrylic in place of modge podge and prefer it in fact. Just think it could have been done with less effort involved. But, Cute dresser, none the less. 👍

It would be very pretty if the inside drawers were painted the same color as the dresser to compliment the lining paper. Great video though! Thank you!

Love this video. Thank you! Question, though: How would you get the mod podge and paper off, if you decided to change it or go back to the original wood?
@ashleywright86865 жыл бұрын
Water spray bottle and scraper. Let soak for a bit, but don’t drench. Stuff comes up easily.

Could sand it too, I imagine.

You can always get a piece of foam core board and decoupage the paper to that instead.

I would have painted the inside of the drawer first. It looks quite nasty looking.

There are projects on how to do this on the woodglut website.
