The angel of design has spoken the words of our creator. I've binged on all her videos, I never been able to get my head around this stuff until I found this channel. I've shared it with most of chic friends, they are very impressed with Baixu, she's just so like raspberry and macadamia nut Vanilla ice-cream, those jumpers are so mummy. I would of thought she would of made a celeb, but she comes across as honest and that's not acceptable in media land.

@@baixu I love your videos and your knowledge, but I almost missed out on it despite having your channel recommended several times so I thought I'd share why: thumbnails are good, but not exactly my own style, this is not something you should change because you can never please/intrigue everyone with just one visual. I think your titles have gotten better over time, adding things like "(Psychology of Design & Architect-Approved)" really shows what you're about and what makes you unique among everything else competing for attention, I might even go as far as put it first in the title because I can't be the only one that skim past longer titles? This brings me to the third thing, your channel name, it doesn't show what you're about either, thinking about my own behaviour I've realised that if someone only has a name but no credentials or descriptions, I am less likely to click and the thumbnail-game has to be really strong and unique to compensate. So for example: thumbnail - same, title - psychology of design: 13 tips for a relaxing home, and channel name - baixu architect I know this is unsolicited advice, only n=1 and I also see the irony of me having no credentials for running a youtube channel yet commenting on showing credentials, but I really like your work and wish more people could have the opportunity to learn from it and maybe this helps a in some way 🤷

As you shared images with maximalist interiors stating it was “overstimulating” I couldnt help but think how much more I prefer these very interiors. 😊 The aesthetic of interior design is indeed subjective and should always be, in my opinion, an art form. Unfortunately, many designers/influencers provide rules to interior spaces and make living spaces very…sterile and impersonal. This is not a criticism but an observation…I would love to see more emphasis on developing creativity and embracing the art of interiors instead of the trends/rules of interior design. Good video although I may respectfully disagree on some (very few) points raised.

5:53 Is it possible for you to make a video on how to decorate for those of us who love high visual complexity but still have it be inviting to guests and practical for everyday life? Or maybe a video going more in depth about the scale from very low to very high complexity, how to know where a room or a piece falls on it, or your own need? I clicked on this video because I do want a relaxing home, and all tips are great, but turns out that the example of high complexity is my calm, and the example of medium complexity is the type of thing that has me climbing the walls for stimulation 😅

I spent a lot of time teaching myself everything I could about lighting for our new build and I got rid of most of the downlights everywhere. I have pendants and wall sconces and ceiling mounted and recessed lights that are mainly indirectly lighting areas. In aus it's really hard to find GU10 globes under 2700k colour. I found 2700k to be the absolute upper limit to what I feel is relaxing. They also need to be of high CRI!. I would love to find globes in 2400k or lower and will try the IKEA ones that we have available in Australia. Oh I forgot --- my point is that lighting is probably the most important element in creating a cosy environment in your home

When I get home I remove my hearing aids. I hear nothing without them. Instant calm! 😆 Also, before swapping out those light bulbs to warm yellow tones, notice your paint colours. If the room is in a calming pale blue and you turn on a yellow light, you will have mud walls. When I painted my room a beautiful pale blue I also changed my bulbs to a cooler white. I am south facing so lots of natural light and it does not make the place 'feel cold'. You need bulb colours that enhance/preserve the wall colours. If you are a person who jumped on the beige craze, then the yellow bulbs are fine.

I've had just that. I share a patio with my neighbors in the back of my house. Their outside plastering was repainted with RAL 9010 instead of the previous 9001 that was also old pale and worn. Now my living room looks like a hospital when the sun reflects in my neighbours faced. Never thought that would have such a big effect. I solved it by installing warm coloured net curtains
