robinhood has an issue with adding bank of america cards where the 6 digit code does not appear normally on transaction history. how can i link my bofa card? i've tried waiting 24 or more hours but the charge disappeared and i still couldnt link my card. ive done it before but i dont remember how and im curious if i just have to wait or no

You're not wrong feeling weird about it. The first few times it's a little scary. They use a really solid company called Plaid to do the connection.

You went the manual route. Check your bank for two small deposits that Robinhood made. Enter those into your Robinhood account.

If you click on which bank you use it will be asking for your banking app username and password so it can link Robinhood with your banking app. If you click the button to enter manually it will ask for routing and account numbers

It's to instantly connect your bank to the app. Makes it nice. It's a safe process and many brokerages and platforms are starting to use it. Plaid is owned by Visa.

Many of the biggest brokerages use this method now. Giving any bank information is worthy of being cautious. Even giving out your routing and account number too.

Those types of accounts are not eligible to be connected to Robinhood.
