Yep, you can do that when listing new products but once a listing is created as unbranded / Generic, it can't be changed later down the line to a brand name. It will always be "generic".

Hey, if you have a trademark for your brand name, then you will want to apply for brand registry. If not, you want to apply for brand approval. This is super simple and I show you how in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJ7CeGBubriMsNE

@@darthvarder-w6v Yes you can. As I said above, you can apply for "Brand Approval", which is different from brand registry. I know the video above is about GTIN exemption but in the video I also show you how yo get "Brand Approval".

A few questions : 1) Are all the fields editable at a later point ? 2) Does Brand registry require a fee ? 3) Can we add the brand name later , for more context we are testing a product and dont want to spend money on brand set up etc , say if were successful, can we edit the listing to add the brand and enrol into brand registry ?

Hey! 1) Yes they are editable at a later date 2) No, brand registry does not have any fees. 3) No, if you set the brand as generic, you can never change it in the future, so you really need to have it set as the brand name you want to use moving forward. You can get "brand approval" without a trademark by emailing seller support and asking for brand approval + attaching images of your branded product or packaging. "testing" an unbranded product, to then switch to a branded products, is not a strategy that works on Amazon. You have to start as you plan to go on.

Question... do we need to create/build an Amzon listing once order reached the Amazon warehouse for FBA, or shall I create a listing before the order reaches to Amazon amd later LIVE my listing once order reaches amazon?

You 100% have to create the listing first! You need to apply FNSKU barcodes to your products before you send them into Amazon and you also need to create a shipping plan inside Seller Central. You can only do these two things once you have a listing created. Your listing will go live automatically once you are in stock

Hi Luca. At the 17:00min mark you mention about 'Max' order quantity' is this per order or per customer. For example let's say it is set to max order 5., can the same customer buy 5 units multiple times or only order 5 in total and that's it.

That's a great question and one I'm not 100% sure on. I believe it is per order, not customer

Hello Lachy this is my first product to sell and it needs approval it’s a baby bath. Once I have finished listing the product shipping, images weight etc. How do I go about asking for approval for the product. Where do go to fill out the details.

If it requires approval, Amazon will notify you within 48 hours of you creating the listing usually. If you can save the listing and you are not notified about anything from Amazon within 48 hours, the last thing you will want to do is to create a dummy shipping plan and then wait for another 48 hours. If nothing happens, then you're fine, there are no restrictions

Hi..for some reason my codes don't match with the products that i'm using...i don't have a brand name so i'm using the generic brand name...and then when i use the id codes it gives me an error where they say i have to contact the seller support and provide to them a bunch of information like manufacturer name and an email from the manufacturer that proves that my product is accepted by them...do you have any advice ?

Love the video helped me a lot. i am a new to Amazon FBA. For a SKU i thought you had to buy it like EAN/UPC/GTIN barcodes. So luca can i just make up my own SKU. e.g. could you just put BB-LOTUS-50

You will need a buy a EAN/UPC from GS1 to be able to create the listing but you will also need a SKU. The SKU is just something you can make up yourself, just like your example.
