Great video. Perfect step by step explanation. Quick question - I have listed two variations (16 oz & 8 oz) and followed the process. How do I do it in a way where my default listing is 16oz and 8 oz is variation inside in case some one wants to buy smaller package. Currently, 8 oz became default one. Any thoughts?

Hey, glad you found the video helpful! So there isn’t a ‘default child listing’ they are all equal, however only one will ever show up in the search results. The one that shows up will be the best seller for that specific keyword searched by the customer. For some keywords the 16oz might be the one that shows up, for other the 8oz one will show up. There’s no way to control which one shows up unfortunately. If you want both to show up in search results you will need to keep them as separate stand alone listing and rank them both for your target keywords

Yes, he accomplished it in such a simple manner, but I had many issues as a beginning. Goods reviews and optimizations are crucial for selling your product on Amazon FBA, and I couldn't handle them properly until a colleague offered the Panda Boom tool, which is an excellent program that helped me overcome my challenges.

Glad it was helpful! Yep you can do it either way, both work. Your customers will only see your child variation images so those are the ones you want to change.

This was super helpful Luca! No other video described how to do this. I am selling a women's workout set on Amazon and first created a parent listing and added the 12 variations (size, color, style) and had 12 different listings and had no idea why! So doing it your way will ensure that when a customer clicks on my listing, ALL of the sizes colors and styles will be displayed on one page, correct?

Glad you found it helpful! There is no way to merge all your listings into one, that's just not how Amazon works. Instead they will remain as 12 individual listings but the parent listing will link them together. This will do three things 1) They will share reviews 2) Each listing will have a variation section showing the variation options 3) They will share organic keyword ranking and only one listing will ever show up in the search results. This will be the best seller for the keyword just searched. One thing to also note is that you won't see the variation options on the front end until your products are in stock.

Hey Michael, yep you will still be able to edit your child listings as normal once you've connected them via a parent listing.

Thnx! I followed your advice but still one open issue :-( thee items that were encoded in one variation listing are noted as inactive in the AMZ inventory... Could you add to your video the final screenshot of your AMZ inventory, please? Because I have three lines for each product separately (status "Active") and one line with the status "Variations(3)". Is this correct? If yes, why in Inactive products is mentioned 3? As they are out-of-stock because I put quantity=0 in my variations. Do you know how to delete them? Thnx!

Luca very good video I wanted to ask that if I create 3 child listings with different descriptions and combine them with a parent listing will all child listings have different descriptions that I entered before or it will have the description of the parent listing.

So it can be a bit glitchy! Sometimes the listing copy will stay different for each child listing, however sometimes the parent listing will override it and the child listings will all have the same copy as the parent listing. If this happens, annoyingly you just have to go back into each child listing and update them one by one.

Hey, glad you found the video helpful! It's because if you have 5 variations and two are out of stock, Amazon don't want to show the custom the out of stock variations, it's just their way of keeping everything neat and user friendly for the customer. Has your stock arrived at Amazon?

Hey, each child listing can be totally different. When the customer clicks on that child listing from the variation options, they will then be taken to that variation listing.

Hey, you can't use a parent listing to bundle two products together, that's not how they work. If you want to sell a bundle on Amazon, you have to physically bundle them together in the same package with a single FNSKU and send the bundled product into Amazon.

Hey! There is no 'main page' when you create a variation listing. They are all equal variations and the reviews will be shared across all variations. In your example, no matter which variation the customer is on, they will be 385 reviews.

Nope, the parent listing is invisible, it just links the child listings together. The customer will only be able to see the child listings and each child listings will display the variation options on them.
