How TO listen to almost every RADIO SIGNAL with Software Defined Radio | RTL-SDR

We bought a RTL-SDR v4 to experiment with software Defined Radio. This cheap USB dongle makes it possible to listen to a very wide range of frequencies. You can listen in to signals from FM-radio, AM-radio, shortwave transmissions, airband, marine VHF, weather balloons, NOAA weather satellites, Ham Radio, trunked Radio System and even the ISS. In this video we will show you the firsts setup and installation of SDRSharp from AIRSPY. We will also listen in to some first signals. This will be fun!!

SDR's are a bunch of fun. I purchased an older V2 model a couple of years ago. I got it to listen to shortwave and ham radio bands. It is fun to play around with using a random wire length as an antenna(had to take it down since I was doing some construction on my house). I mostly use linux on my main computer, so it would be interesting to see if it runs on linux and or my pi.

Hi Chuckles, it sure is a lot of fun. As soon as I have the time I will definitely do something with a Raspberry Pi in combination with SDR. The Earning apps are also still running well. Thank you for that ;)

Als je de gain te hoog laat kan je signalen slechter ontvangen en je rtl sdr v4 beschadigd raken. Je vind de schuif onder dat tandwiel links boven.

@@BloxyLabs 👍 ontvang je ook beter nu op FM? Je moet de perfecte match vinden tussen signaal en noise floor. Als je de gain lager zet worden de signalen zwakker. Maar Als je hem te hoog zet word de noisefloor te hoog en word het signaal ook slecht
