I've seen the space station fly over. I was at a concert and between shows I was playing with Google sky. It shows the space station when it is over head live. Then you look at the sky and you can see it fly past like a shiny little dot in the sky. Pretty cool stuff.

If you had a separate baofeng you could set it to uplink frequency and get into the bird. An antenna with gain like yagi or elk also helps.Then again I'm still trying to get my first Satellite QSO so take my advice with a grain of salt. Cheers and enjoy the weekend!

Programmed Doppler Shift Frequencies I use: 437.810 (coming towards you) 437.805 (coming close) 437.800 (directly above) 437.795 (near but going away) 437.790 (going further away)

Its crazy when you get an yagi antenna how well it sounds when you get a clear pass of the satellite. I have made many contacts with a baofeng and a yagi. Have seen people make contacts with an antenna like yours. Btw you forgot about the doppler shift of the frequency which will make it receive better.
