no, he's right lol. lived in china almost ten years. my wife had to fight her family to marry me- she has courage. everyone we know were set up by their parents. chinese dudes are cowards. nobody i know will approach women they don't know- even with my help lol. plus most people here are racist to an extent you would only see as a black in the american south before jim crow was done away with. china is a tough place to live

Over half million Chinese students study abroad every year. Some students are even less then 18 year old. Yet Chinese kids are brave to embrace culture shock, get out of their comfort zone, and learn local language and culture. And some stay abroad for work to further learn about the business there. Many come back and bring back knowledge, which helps Chinese business to expand internationally..Chinese are truly believe in globalization and more open to different cultures

A very honest assessment of an eventful year peppered with the sublimity, acceptance, friendliness, contradictions and 'things with room for improvement' of China. I started watching you and Poppy because you guys chose to embrace China by moving there. If this is indeed your final China video...don't worry, I will continue to support you two wherever your footprints show up! :D

I really like your videos and how you find excitement and joy living in place that is completely foreign to you. It must have been quite exhausting to live like a full-time traveler who is always on the road and live in different cultures. But somehow you seem to always have to energy to embrace both the ups and downs, and appreciate the experience. Hope to see you back in China someday haha

I am a China-born, Thai national in the ' Land of Smiles ', Kingdom of Siam ( now Thailand) but I haven't had a chance to go to visit my place of Birth, Guilin yet - you did give me a good perspective of Guilin of which I would make sure to visit some days (never know, I am 76+ (78 in Chinese lunar Calendar). Now, you are advising everyone about how you had experienced in China ...... MANY THANKS!

I think one thing most people don't pay attention when they come to China is learning mandarin. Language shapes the way you think and you will never start understanding before you speak the language. Sadly the majority of foreigners in China don't speak mandarin at all, but after 1983 English is a required course in China. That tells you something.

In China, there are more than just beaches, mountains, snow mountains, deserts, wetlands, swamps, rain forests, grasslands and so on. You can almost imagine that there are thousands of historical relics of ancient buildings, ancient cities, emperors and tombs, many walls of the Great Wall of Nanjing, which have experienced World War II, and there are too many places to play.
