Oh, I forgot to mention that my things are in storage, I have a gym membership with PF but only shower there (shame on me 🤷🏽), and I also own a Tessie 🚘 Model 3 and am enrolled in a computer science/software concentration program. I'm 45 yrs old, an Uber driver, and a CDL holder, but I haven't been driving commercial vehicles lately. As you can see, I'm starting all over again. Kinda overwhelming, but it's fun 😁 too. I do this all the time, I absolutely love it. I'm in a new city every few months... This is an excellent strategy to invest more, while forgoing the cost of rent. Thus I have various investments, and rentals; and will continue to implement this strategy... Though I stated KZbin it'll be off and on.

Markets are tough nowadays but we are always investing monthly (dollar cost averaging) in a low cost SP500 fund every month over the long term just like Warren Buffet says. He also says to do this even when markets are down, because one can buy for a lower price in down market times. Create a budget and see how much you can invest every month. I got out of debt by working 2 jobs that fed me at work, renting the smallest storage and would take my motorcycle on off roads to camp. I had a tent and would shower at the gym. Wonters was hard so car camping is great. I'm in Palo Alto now and is moving back up north where everything is cheaper

Ive been doing this for 6 months. The thing is, my experience has been bad. I’ve had to repair my car 8 times. And every time I save the car has an issue. I currently have a bad engine mount, and have for a couple months. I haven’t been able to pay for it. But hopefully I can cover it soon before it becomes an issue. After I take care of that, I should be good to start saving again. And hopefully don’t have to keep repairing. It’s been a struggle and I don’t know how I’m still barely afloat. Wish me luck, I hope it’s up from here.

I’m a single guy, still young, never married, no kids and I got a Master’s degree in IT. Hey! What a great question! I worked and sleep in my works parking lot. I had to be real incognito. When I slept in the parking lot, I wore black and tried to real discreet. The factory was open 24hrs, so it wasn’t odd seeing cars in the parking lot overnight. Then saved enough to buy a property, switched to a remote Data Science job, lived in one room and rented out the other rooms. This allowed me to live for free. Hope that helps 🙏

We live in a time where we all all have lots of job and living options, especially while we’re single with no kids. Due to crazy inflation, housing has become so unaffordable. I’ve parked all over, in the parking lot of my work place, Walmart, random streets. The trick is rotation. For income, one could do gig work, or find a workplace with lots of parking and lax security. I’ve also done remote work. Let me know when you start and how it goes! ☺️

That’s true, but at the time I had just started working after college, so I didn’t have the means to change the car. I parked at my workplace and near the gym where both were open 24 hrs. I also stopped drinking water a couple hours before going to bed, so I didn’t have to wake up in the middle of night to pee.

Yeah definitely gets hot in the summer, but luckily we lived in an area where the summer temperature was bearable. But we did sometimes have to turn on the car for ac in the middle of the night or crack a window open. You’re right though location is important, if it’s too hot or too cold, one has to get creative 😂😂😂
