I love the Roland Vr-1hd, only wish it had one more hdmi and one more mic input. I am using it with a laptop in the 3rd hdmi for video and powerpoint. I did do a work around with a hdmi splitter to add a third camera. You are right its necessary to know the equipment. Now to learn how to zoom and facebook live together.

Awesome video! Thanks so much! Do you have any ideas or suggestions on what to do when the audio from the VR-1HD is not sent out to the participants? I have selected the VR in my zoom audio settings and I can hear myself talking fine but students cannot hear me. Appreciate your help and happy to talk things privately if you can help further. All my best, Martino

Great video. The VR-1HD looks like a great option for professionally streaming video. I'd also be interested to see a video on the audio microphones you use for your podcast. Those mics you use sound great. I'm assuming those mics would work with the VR-1HD, but not sure if you also have a microphone mixing board of some kind.

Marshall Hill, no mixing board necessary and it has built in power for phantom mics, I am using a Audio Technica 2020 and a generic goose neck mic I had laying around the house from a game.

Thanks for this. QN1: can it work with/is it connectable to mobile phones as the video feed instead of normal cameras? QN2: And can it stream to two platforms at the same time eg Facebook and KZbin?

HI, SINCE THE ROLAND VR-1HD DOES NOT WORK WITH NEWER MAC COMPUTERS, COULD YOU CONNECT THE VR-1HD TO AN Elgato CARD AND THEN GO INTO THE MAC COMPUTER AND HAVE THE BENEFITS OF THE ROLAND?

Hello, I ve just purchased VR-1HD and I am lost with the following problem. I have 2 laptops connected to VR-1HD, one for presentations and one with running webex. I have PANASONIC AG-CX10ES connected to channel 1 and the laptop with a presentation to channel 2. When I switch to presentation during presentation, the users on the other end see the presentation fuzzy and hard to read due to low resolution. It drives me crazy since I could not find a solution. Please can you help me? Thank you very much. Petr

Petr I have the VR-1HD with two laptops one for presentations and video and other to control the Roland. I have not experienced the problem you are having, perhaps try a different hdmi cable. I would reach out to Roland they are pretty good about getting back to you. Good luck, let us know what you did to figure it out.

Dennis Mitchell thank you. Problem is on the side of Webex, which is now overloaded in certain parts of the day due to high traffic because of covid. Thank you very much for your response.

Hello and thanks for reaching out! The VR-1HD is passing the content connected to the HDMI port as video. So you would not be "Sharing Content" The HDMI out of the laptop would pass through to webex as a Video stream. So when you are sharing a desktop through video in webex, you should not hit the share button. Instead viewers should be in active speaker view mode, I would also recommend muting all participants to make it easy. If it is still blurry you can check the settings on your laptop for resolution and the settings on the VR1 HDMI port. Alternatively you could share your presentation from the computer you joined webex with leveraging the share button. I hope this helps
