@RenderPoeticMedia4 жыл бұрын
The Nikon equivalent to the Canon EOS Utility is called Camera Control Pro. However, I believe it’s a paid product. There’s some helpful info on Nikons site here: www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-explore/live-streaming-with-nikon-cameras.page

Hi . Do you have to push the record button on the canon camera or OBS stream button will do the recording itself?
@RenderPoeticMedia3 жыл бұрын
OBS screen recording will do it. It will record to the computer, but, depending on the settings, it may be a lower quality than what the camera would record. You can record from the camera also as a backup.
@limusikprod30873 жыл бұрын
@@RenderPoeticMedia Thanks for your quick reply. Does OBS record 4k or full hd itself or do you have to set it directly on your camera settings?
@RenderPoeticMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@limusikprod3087 Good question, it entirely sure in that one. You’ll need to set the settings on the camera for what you want. In OBS there are settings options for what is being streamed and what is being recorded. I don’t remember a 4K option, but I also don’t record in 4K to have looked for it. Look for output settings.

Do i need video capture card if I'm gonna use dslr camera for OBS?
@vinvanid3 жыл бұрын
Yes you need one. Or if you want cheap route, use EOS webcam utility (just need USB cable) but the output is just 576p, meanwhile you can get 1080p with video capture card. Note that video streaming of Canon DSLR via video capture card will be tricky.. not all canon dslr has clean hdmi output..

What about the camera turning itself off? I thought DSLR cameras have time limits of around 30 mins ... worship services go longer than that! I also read that keepin DSLR cameras on for longer times is not good for the camera itself in the long run. Any thoughts?

It won’t record past 30 minutes but it will continue to stream. You can record in OBS also. I haven’t had an issue with my camera yet.

how about the nikon d3200 sir?it is ompatible for obs?
@RenderPoeticMedia3 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge, OBS is not camera specific. You just need to have the camera feed going to the computer. You would need to get Nikons version of the Webcam Utility or have a switcher that sends the feed.

hey im having trouble getting the audio to record, any tips for that?
@RenderPoeticMedia3 жыл бұрын
Best method I’ve found so far is to use a USB interface. I run the audio from our sound board into an Audio Box interface via an XLR cable. A USB cable goes from the Audio Box into the computer. Then just make sure you select the correct audio input source when adding it to OBS.
@Cryptonfts1113 жыл бұрын
@@RenderPoeticMedia oh ok so do you need that sound interface, cuz I just ran the micro hdmi from the camera to the cam link. But when I set the audio and video capture to the cam link the sound doesn’t come through when I playback my videos
@RenderPoeticMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@Cryptonfts111 I’ve never ran the audio directly from the camera because the audio quality is very poor and it picks up all the sounds when adjusting the focus or those who are talking in the camera/sound booth. I’ve have also run audio out directly from the sound mixer into the computers 1/8” jack. But not all computers with let you use the headphone jack as a mic input.

When lyrics or scripture is set to the bottom third of the screen does this also affect what EasyWorship is projecting to the screen for the congregation. ie: will they see the lyrics on the bottom third as well?
@RenderPoeticMedia4 жыл бұрын
It will only affect it for the congregation if you are using that specific monitor display source for pulling in the words to broadcast on OBS. However, we use the display foldback monitor (TV in the back that the band sees from the stage) to pull the lyrics from to go to OBS. The words on the display foldback monitor are a lower third, but the main screen that the congregation sees is set to display in whatever position you have set within easy worship. Let me know if that doesn’t make sense.
@karenhildebrandt66234 жыл бұрын
@@RenderPoeticMedia can this be done with one computer or do we need to connect another computer?
@RenderPoeticMedia4 жыл бұрын
Just one computer with two outputs. One for the main display that the congregation sees and a secondary for display foldback that the band/speaker sees from stage.

@@RenderPoeticMedia I am very interested in figuring this out as well. I use to operate EW 2009 in my church but now that everyone has had to go to live stream due to the virus OBS confuses me. How can I broadcast using OBS while integrating EW? As Karen mentioned, I want to broadcast lower thirds lyrics and verses to KZbin using OBS but show full scale lyrics with a simple background for a single projector to the congregation actually at church. I plan to use to monitors and a projector for a total of three displays. I planned to use one as the main operators screen, another to show OBS software and the projector to show lyrics, videos, etc. Can you help explain the set up to me? Also can I do all this with EW 2009, or EW 6 or do I need EW 7? Thank you.

I’m not sure I totally understand what you mean by that. If you have a projector or secondary monitor attached to your computer, those are your output monitors for when you go live. Otherwise it simply projects the song slides onto your primary monitor from which you are controlling easy worship.
