OOOH, golly! I never thought about my bank. Been with it for 40 years, so it's time to think about how it uses my money. Thanks so very much for the heads-up. My power company gave me the option of signing up for windpower through an associated power company. It cost more at first, but in just a few years, the price per kilowatt has been reduced by about 30% Works for me!

for sure!! it's something I never considered until this year too! that is sooo cool!

Love that the length of your video on “21 ways to live zero waste in 2021” is 21:21-I see what you did there :-)

so glad someone noticed because that was indeed intentional ;)

The one good thing about using google products and the cloud is that they use 100% renewable energy so definitely use google products over many others.

This includes buying something, but outlet timers! You don’t need to charge your devices all night - unless maybe it’s on its last leg 😅. Also, leaving chargers plugged in drains energy even when they are not in use. My husband didn’t believe this until we tested it with a voltage reader.
@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist3 жыл бұрын
I have my device set to "smart charge" or something like that so it charges all night, but slowly and finishes around the time I wake up! But still, that idea is great! I always unplug devices but still trying to get the husband to do it here too haha

I really love these super practical tips!!👏I just love the idea of consuming consciously. We're so tuned out from so many things in life, and it's great practice to just live more consciously in general! Also, love the title cards, super cute!💖It would be really cute to have a transition that's a little drawing of Mochi that pops out with the bell noise😻
@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Susie!! Yes it is SO important to just become mindful/conscious as a whole and then it expands into consuming. Omg I will work on a Mochi animation now haha, I'm not great at drawing animals but that would be adorable and needs to happen haha

I just found your channel a couple of hours ago and I'm already watching my sixth video. You have really drawn me in, I truly appreciate that you help people figure out how to produce less waste, but without trashing what they already own just to buy the latest "zero waste" item. So many other channels are quick to tell you to buy these items and that you are terrible if you use what you already own until it is no longer useful. Thank you for what you do. I have subscribed, liked each video and even shared some on my social media.

that means THE WORLD to me!! Welcome!! i agree so much with that and that is why it's my goal. I want zero waste to be attainable! so happy to help and to have you here :)

Loved all the ideas here, especially the ones about shopping your home first and consuming less. That's definitely what I've been implementing in 2020 and will continue in 2021. I have enough clothes to wear and even more, enough books to read, and enough of everything in general. I don't want to buy anything I don't need this year. By the way, I'm curious, do you now know where you and Dan will be moving this year? You mentioned it in one of your videos :)
@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Eva!! Same for me, that's my biggest is seeing what I have first before buying anything and then immediately trying to find it second hand before buying new! No we don't know yet :( the military loves to keep it last minute haha. There will for sure be an announcement at some point when we do find out!!

Not wish cycling is a great thing. I think alot of people wish different things can be recycled and throw them in recycling but that just causes problems.

Great ideas😃🙌 I'm already working on unsubscribing from junk mail and to store less data (but I could do it more often). The point about banks is important, they invest in all kinds of questionable industries :/
@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist3 жыл бұрын
I need to do it more often, too! But glad to see you're taking steps! It's so frustrating to see our money go places we don't want :(
