Very interesting! Serving the customers! This corn, bean farmer doesn’t have much to add other than it would be nice to be able to see BNSF trains roll by. 😉 Absolutely loved your video of loading a train. Several of my train friends geeked out over that video mainly because of the information contained.

Always wanted to something similar but add in a weather station with it for a remote location. Things consume more power than I realize when figuring it all out and starts to cost a more than I thought. Good work!

Thanks! This system is scoped out to run two cameras max and it’s already a lot of power. Weather stations are much more power efficient though. Definitely wouldn’t have been able to do this without grant funding from MT Wheat&Barley.

I'm heading back to Montana, I don't know if I'll go towards Scobey and look for Farm work, or around Missoula for Dairy work. But back to Montana I have to go. My license plates don't fit here anymore....California will kill you're soul and I have to get out....

Can you provide a link to the live stream?

The system is offline for the winter and KZbin unfortunately didn’t save a recording, but the plan is for it to be back up spring of 2022!

You should buy some low voltage gloves working with 48 volts be careful dammit man 👀👍

Thanks for the concern! These batteries are still 12v so it’s a safe low-amperage up conversion to 48v that goes over the Ethernet cables to the camera. Electrical safety should always be first priority though.
