If you start it you can ride it up the ramp. Even if you are nervous, you can walk along side with the motor running to power the bike up the ramp. Just use a tie down strap from your ramp to the truck.

Dirt N Iron I know I just found out after one vid you posted that you’re not lol. I have never owned a dirt bike. Now I own a TTR 125 4 stroke. If you ever have some time to post a video on how to ride a dirt bike for the first time. From start to finish. How to warm up bike. How to switch gears and when. And all that good stuff. That would be very helpful :)

I put my bike on a diagonal also with the straps in the same place as you. I noticed that it barely puts pressure on the forks. The harder you crank down the more it squats the rear end like you can see in your video. Plus with the bike sandwiched in like that you don't have to crank down on the straps too hard. Great video as always!!

Always use a line to attach the bike to the truck, most ramps come with the safety line. Also just ride it up...never fails unless you are new to riding. Plus a larger folding ramp makes life easier to.

Hey bud, totally off subject for this vid but I was just curious as to what you're thoughts on running race gas vs pump gas on 2 strokes like 250's. I just picked up a 2015 KTM 250 xc and my cusin just got a 15 250 sx...the manual for my bike calls for 95 octane, the previous owner was running 110 race gas. Just asking cause alot of my cusin's friends keep telling him to run race gas or 50/50 mix.
@dirtniron
@dirtniron 7 жыл бұрын
personally I think race gas is waste of money for weekend warriors like most of us. I would rather spend the money somewhere else. It doesnt do much good on stock engine in my opinion, if you modify your head and engine to get higher compression then running race gas makes sense. Stock 250 2 stroke has plenty of power unless you are class A rider and have some serious ambitions in racing. I run pump gas on all my bikes, try to stick with good brands not some corner 'USA gasoline" gas station. Thats the way I see it..
@ATVoffroad
@ATVoffroad 7 жыл бұрын
killerkork like dude said unless your a pro or a racing then your fine with pump gas no sense in spending huge money on it unless your racing and want every bit or horsepower
@killerkork
@killerkork 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply !! That's about exactly what I was telling him...he and his friends are young and at that age where they think they know everything lol. We're definitely just weekend wariors with stock engines, not at a compition race level where every little bit matters.

Yes, you always need a freshly oiled filter. Also if the foam gets old, replace it. I actually sucked in the complete foam air filter into the crank when landing hard off a jump on my 05 YZ250. The filter looked fine, but was old.

My truck is too big/tall. The ramp is basically vertical so I gotta ride the bike all the way into the truck.

Matt Smith you can also get a fork saver. I have one and they work excellent, on my dirt bike when it's strapped down!

I have never blown a seal I also wonder what people are doing to blow them...LOL The bike is in the truck bed, it isn't going anywhere you tight enough is good enough.

+MD 63 fair enough. I can take some criticism. Have to admit, your comment was funny :) just so you know I am not very happy that this is most viewed video on my channel. I made it after I was asked at the track to help load a bike, the guy was my size and had a ramp yet he wasn't able to load it alone. So I thought there are some guys out there who need little help. There is also plenty of loading fails videos.. so I thought it can help..

Well to be fair you are being serious and just trying to help people which is admirable but you have to admit as an experienced rider,,,you would think that an individual that has made the decision to get involved in something as potentially risky as riding dirt bikes they would be minimally competent enough to be able to put the damn thing in a truck.

+MD 63 lol, you made me laugh :) You are right, but I kinda like to help guys out, you would be surprised what kind of questions are beginners asking sometimes. I try to mix it up on the channel, but I admit some videos are not suitable for experienced riders. I try to include word "beginners" every time I upload video like that. Thanks for your feedback and honesty, usually people just hit dislike, it's helping me to know what is it they don't like.
