How to Load (and Unload) a Truck Camper

When the front of the TC hit the truck's bed, move 1/4 of an inch so there is no drag when lowering the TC into the bed platform.

Do you drain your fresh water tank before you drip the camper?

If it's super full then yes, but typically if its only 1/3 full or less then its fine. If we plan to leave the camper sit for a while then we drain it out completely

I just bought a 2001 Lance truck camper. It has the Atwood electric jack system with the extenders on the front legs. I can't figure out how to move them in and out from the camper. The driver side is "stuck" in the out position. The passenger on the in position. I've lubricated the shafts with a liberal coating of WD40. I can't get them to move up or down as easily as you've illustrated, in this video. Any suggestions?

Hey Scott! Sounds interesting. So it's only one of the front jacks? Are you able to override it by cranking it manually if it doesn't go up and down? Unless you're talking about the jacks swinging in and out (like the dually mounts).

@@InfiniteExplorers ...I can see how my question could be confusing. My bad. @0.14, your lovely partner lifts the jack up and swings it out. Neither of the front jacks will move up or down. I've lubricated the the pivot shafts. Still they seem stuck. Sarah makes it look so easy.

@@perfectlylonely Hmm, were dually brackets installed on your camper? We had them added on as an accessory so it doesn't come standard on campers. If you do have dually brackets then we aren't too sure why they would be stuck.
