Well waddya know! Here’s me, never gonna cast a net {ouch my shoulder!} checking out this video. Maybe if I start with a much smaller net and learn to throw to my left. I came for the chum recipe and stayed for the net toss. Loved the right hand finish there Joshua. That was sweet. Like everyone else I’m having trouble finding the fish food. Did you hoard it all during the pandemic!?!! Another captain from Ruskin rec’d Ace, but the one here in Longboat, nope. Excellent video, you haven’t aged a bit! 😉

Hi Joshua Taylor love your chum idea of adding the menhaden oil. How far in advance do you make your chum prior to using it. I too buy the 50lb bags of tropical fish food and I mix it up on the boat as I use it but I like your idea of adding the menhaden oil which could make an even bigger mess on the boat so I’m thinking of making a bunch of containers ahead of time and just grabbing 1 or 2 each day. Will that work or do you think it will it get foul? Thanks, good videos, Glenn

@mahtoosacks7 жыл бұрын
Gavin Argabright, dont see why not. Give it a try, and let us know. Im gonna try it, too. I have a consistent producer of mullet where I work - a culvert with a large marsh trapped between roads that empties into a ship canal (goo.gl/maps/Vw7fRxVo3bQ2), but some days you can't find a single one. My 5' castnet will come up full, but being able to do this at home would be nice, too.

Never a dumb question bud, it does work in freshwater for shad.
