I used navionics on my old phone at brooklyn marine parkway Bridge. The guy was nice enough to show me how it work. You John couldn't explain any better.

Hi John, this was a super informative video, thanks! An idea for a future video if you get antsy this winter: it'd be really helpful if you could supplement this with a video on how you decide when to go fishing (current/tides, wind speed/direction, water temp/time of year, proximity to a storm/"run-off" from land/water visibility, etc.)

People always ask how to find fishing spots. I keep telling them I am not going to tell you no fisherman will but use google earth and google maps and all will be revealed. Appreciate the video Mr. Skinner and good luck this season.

Been doing almost exactly that. Go back years before I had a smart phone using a handheld gps & google earth. Don't worry, I'm not going to tell anybody I can tell exactly where you were at & never been there. I have been checking it out (online) for about 2 years now. My NJ butt is to lazy to drive out there. Maybe this winter , take a drive, check some spots & see if non resident parking is aloud. Forgot to mention, great vid as always.

As usual another great video. May I ass a suggestion that might enhance this a little. If you a deeper or t-pod you could also map/chart the area for depth and signs of life. With the deeper app you can download a map.

This is not reliable , Try this coords 36•28'1.10 N - 25•22'4.30 that I used from Google earth . It takes you on land. Be aware if you guys using auto pilot or any other guidance in water this is not reliable. This can be fatal mistake if you lead your boat on rocks.
