Came here just to make sure if there's a trick or not. Funny how I'm used to tricksters in games, meanwhile Sphinx is more of Riddle person. However, those riddles aren't much of a riddles as much as go fetch!

just so everyone knows u can choose not to open the last box and just grab on to her and ride her to the next shrine then put the portcrystal down then go back to the other shrine for the 3 ferrystones

The better option: give Sphinx a Portcrystle for one of the riddles & will then be duplicated, place one down straight away ride her to new location place the other one. Ez pez Portcrystle at both locations

Well too late for me, I open the box and by the time I turn around the Sphinx started flying away.

@@ironwill4706 After completing the fifth riddle she will start flying away pretty quickly to her second location. You only have seconds to grab on to her, if you missed grabbing on, you can find the Sphinx West of Checkpoint Rest Town.

Riddle of rumination section was helpful for me thanks, I found my Token ontop of the Barn Roof in the Boarderwatch Town. Hope this helps someone else

I gave up on the finders token for a while since I could not remember either. As I was watching this video as you began speaking about the work around your charecter was looking at the fountain in vermund and I was right next to it and had forgot there was one in there and low and behold it actually happened to be the finders token for me lol incredible. Done the sphinx 3 times and it's always vergil she wants from the battahl side of check Point rest town also on ng+ your finders token is not the same one you pick up on the first playthrough, it's the first on picked up on current playthrough so you'll need to marker each of the first pick ups on each ng+

I did not know that it was the seeker token from your first pick up of new game plus so I spent two hours looking for all my previous seeker tokens for my first play through trying to retrace my steps, it was a nightmare, lo and behold it was the secret token top the guild hall, and Vernworth

My first seeker's token was in the Marshland Settlement. My friend remembered me asking what was a seeker's token when I was "in the middle of nowhere", and it hit; "yeah the gang in the middle of the forest I fought for half an hour at lvl 10. That's where it was!"

You know you can just buy a house in Bakbhattal for 30k and there is an other inn there that cost only 2k. Also pay attention to the Riddle of Futility. As you talk to the man that you give the urn to he gives you a clue to look at the mural behind him It show a man fighting the sphinx with a mystical spear. Also looking at the urn you see spears pointing to the back of the sphinx. So if you don't want to waist the arrow on the sphinx you can kill her as a Mystical Spearhand, but make sure you attack her in the back part. That way she stay and fight and you can take all the time you want to in this fight.

i was going to say i saw someone else fight her without the pawns, because if you only hit the back part you can take her down, if you (OR the stupid pawns) hit her in the head then you lose.

@@briwanderz You can use the wait command in battle and the pawns will only use defensive abilities. But yes, you can't let the pawns attack her.

The rewards are balanced if you do this following a guide. If I would magically manage to do all this by myself, those rewards would look absolutly underwhelming.

I’d save the Seerkers Token riddle for LAST, so at least you can get all the other awards for sure including case you can’t finish that one.

Side note but I would have mentioned you should also place a port crystal in rest town before resting at the inn and heading out as I did realize this until after finding her the second time. Helpful tip so you don’t need to walk all the way back to rest town again.

I can't believe I found the finder's token at the first place I checked. It was the balista in Melve. Another place to check is the barn in borderwatch town.

Well it's the first one you ever pick up, so the first you find an pick up is the one you have to refind, no matter it's location....

I found my finder's token North West of Melve, I don't know if anybody try the oracle to narrow down location. I found six seeker tokens before I ran into my finder's token.

@@Oblivionpma If you got your first seeker token before reaching Melve there are 6 possible locations you could have found it. Look at the interactive map there are four seeker tokens north of Marty's place. You start the game at Ultramarine Waterfall as you made your way to Border Watch Outpost there is only one seeker token you could have run into. As you made your way to Melve, there is 3 seeker tokens you probably run into if you took the southwest road to Melve. I would still asked the Oracle in Vernworth, before giving up.

Ouf, idk how I remembered where I got my forst Seeker Token was lol. It was on top of the tower in Melve. Where the balista is... I still can't believe it, that's like 50hrs of game play and 2 weeks ago and I have a really bad memory lol

So first playthrough, I had the Tricker's detection and found 122 tokens. Was easy to remember my first token location. When I started the NG+ playthrough I realised the tokens don't respawn. So I assumed doing the Sphinx quest the 2nd time, the token she wanted would be in the same place as the first run through...... Noooo.... I have no clue where I found the 123rd Token after starting NG+ nightmare

What about the big chest in the first area? Can you go back and open it after defeating the sphinx? I know the golden key is a one use only but is there any way to get the first large chest open? Edit: I checked and the large box is no longer there after completing the quest.

so basically if you can't find that stupid token, you only lose 3 ferrystones? big deal... i wasted well over an hour checking every sport from start to the big city and a bit beyond, still can't figure it out.. (i did find about 20 new ones though) and the only thing i'm gonna miss is 3 ferrystones? (now i just need to remember i only passed 4 in the first area, hopefully my dead goldfish memory works today) you can buy a house in battahl (however it's spelled) for 30,000 so basically the cost of 3 inn stays, plus then if you make any friends in the area they leave stuff at your front door... (i just give flower bundles to wandering merchants or someone interesting before and after resting for a day)
