I get that in 3 minutes of killing the little dudes in the underground of the base game. In the time of one Pickle Foot buff while wearing the +Runes talisman. But that required you to spam the ability of the Sacred Relic Sword. Still, 3 million in 10 minutes.

I found the are at the top of the finger ruins of dheo with those worm things does about 60-80,000 runes per run. Just use sacred relic sword and run down the hill and use the skill on the sacred sword and there ya go. I had like 400,000 in a few runs

This farm is super useful to me cause I still haven’t beaten the game (I’m a first timer and I have very little patience so I lose a lot) and the frog/bird farm is awesome I just don’t have the sacred relic sword so im getting nothing in a minute😊

No fighting? Well you gotta kill Mohg and Radahn for that. Bird spot is way more superior. Plus it’s on the way to Mohg anyway. You gotta walk past that spot anyway to access the DLC. This Method is just crap compared to already existing farm spots. Scadutree Fragments are better than levels in the DLC anyway. You can collect many of them before even fighting a single enemy. That will make you more powerful in the DLC.

This doesn’t work! What happened to me and many others is that the big firey guy falls down a cliff on his own and that’s the end of that.

It should be noted that once you proceed across the bridge leading out of Bonny Village, the great rune will break and all the NPC's will move to their next phase. So know that by doing this so early you are ruining nearly half the questlines in the dlc.

DO NOT KILL IGON!!!! He has the best freaking story quest in the entire game and you will seriously want to summon him for the fight he can be in (you want to experience the glory that is Igon).

This is amazing vid and it helped me get through the dlc but I did the math and time together and unfortunately that fire golem gives less runes than the giant bird falling off. With the gold scrab equipped with doing the fire golem at night it paid 17,120 with time at 26.27 seconds. With the giant bird falling off by mohg and using the gold scrab it paid 26,490 with time at 20.06 seconds on my fastest time doing it twice in a row. Godbless you all on your rune hunting :)

The palace approach is 45k ish every 15 seconds if you single swipe wave of gold which is 180k per min on ng without item buffs (alex shard increases gold as well as scarab)

still works, i recommend that you go get the golden scarab (20% more runes) and do this farm. just got to level 75 by doing this.

FYI. If you do this right away be warned. Once you cross the second bridge something happens and the world state will change. Meaning all NPC’s will move from their starting locations to their second locations. So if you missed talking to any of them potentially you will be locked out of their quest lines. Also approaching the Shadow Keep triggers this change too. So I recommend talking to all the NPC’s first before doing this.
