Great tip about suspending the lock mechanism, above the ground, as to avoid hammer attacks. Thx for the compact & substantive videos=)

Is that the Segway Ninebot F40? I'm using all these locks at once with the addition of a cuff lock. I also arm 2 motion alarms on my scooter then cover it with a bike cover that can be secured with a cable lock so it conceals where the alarms are as well as the hard locks underneath so the thief can back off before he even takes the cover off! I'm using the Seatylock Mason, Foldylock Compact and Seatylock Viking for the U-lock, folding lock and chain, respectively. Using all these to lock my current Segway Ninebot Max G30LP and my soon to be brand new Segway Ninebot F2 Pro!

yes you need to lock it physically or digital but the best way to do please don't leave your escooter or ebike outside for long period time coz no matter what lock you use, it will disappear coz having more time outside more chance to find a way to steal it

They are uncommon, so I didn't include them in this video. But in general, they are much more secure than cable locks but not as secure as chain locks or U-locks.

@ElectricWheelers Жыл бұрын
For getting to the gym you don't need something expensive and fancy I guess. So I would pick something with a good price/quality ratio like NIU KQi3 or Ninebot F40.

Absolutely. I learned this the hard way. Unfortunately I used a cheap crappy bike lock and someone took bolt cutters to it and had away with it. My own fault but would definitely take the time from now on to securely lock.

If you live in the city area and have fair crime u need a D Lock capable of withstanding a angle grinder for at least 10minutes or more. Hiplock D1000 or Altor SAF for example You need one or two alarms, one for to scare and one to put inside the scooter or hide. You need GPS hidden inside the scooter and a gps sticker to warn criminals to not even bother trying. And maybe a laminated security note hung on the scooter letting them know how risky it is to steal it. If u r making quick trips and dont plan on being gone for 10 minute's or more than just the d lock AND folding lock. Never a cable lock.

I totally agree with you. There's no lock that works 100% of the time. But if your scooter has a decent lock and there is one next to yours with a poor lock - a thief rather takes the other one.

If anyone has any recc. for quality security gear please comment! I got a new scooter but theft here is common & unprosecuted! Budget is unlimited! Safety is #1 for me! 👇 I just got a new NIU KQi3 Max and I LOVE it!! But I live in very large & busy cities where theft is everywhere & insurance is expensive! So when I must park my scooter, I want to use all 4 locks + digital + app + alarm 😂👍 But I don't know what to get! Many ppl recommend folding locks, but theives here are fast & professional. Power tools & lock picking are as common as opportunistic theft & vandalism from homeless. (Yes, I'm in both downtown Los Angeles & San Fransisco California, back & forth for work 😅) I will not leave it overnight, but 30min-1hr is likely if I can't bring it with me certain places. Trust me, that's long enough to be worried!! NYC is safer! Any lock/security product is worth it if they will protect my scooter!! So, please, tell me all your best lock & security products! I want real reviews from real people!

I got a lock that had 12345 as the default code. I left it at that, because it's so easy to remember. But it did occur to me that, because those numbers have to be lined up to join the two ends, if someone observed me forgetting to use the lock, they could simply look at the numbers (12345), and know my combination, and steal both the bike and the lock!
