hi, this was a great video, thanks for sharing with us. I am using tp-link and was having tough time having a good connection. So tried locking among 1,3,5 bands. It gets connected but I still see 30-40 seconds of ping timeouts intermittently. What could be the problem, network, the router, or something else?
@TeltonikaNetworks4 жыл бұрын
First of all, you find out what your operator supports bands. Next, using a phone and cell connection apps, figure out which is the closest cell tower and what bands your phone uses to connect. Then you will be sure you are connecting to the correct bands, and you should get a better signal. Also, when pinging, make sure the target server is close to your location.

@Teltonika Hello, it is possible to lock 5G NSA band on RUTX50?
@TeltonikaNetworks2 жыл бұрын
The term "NSA band" refers to "non-standalone" 5G, which means that it uses existing 4G infrastructure to provide 5G services. And there a multiple bands thant for example work with RUTX50 - 5G NR NSA: n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78 So, you can lock to a specific band as described in the video.

I use RUT X11 in our boat. We travel around and get all type of different connections and bands. It would be great if Teltonika would have an option that check if GPS position is not moving after 10 minutes and then start to test different bands to see what station I should use. There is global speed test pages and API's to use for a solution like that. If you know any terminal/bash command I can change band with, I could code that solution myself. ( I already have some own code running on X11 for some of my projects)

Any android app that can measure and determine what is the best and stable network band?I have two unit of RUT240, the speed is big different with my mobile speed. Appreciate if anyone can share the app and troubleshooting method. Thanks😊

Sadly, we cannot recommend a specific app for network measurement; however, a quick online search should yield plenty of options for you to choose from. Concerning your RUT240 units, we advise keeping the firmware up to date to benefit from the latest improvements and fixes. It is also important to ensure your device is located in an optimal position for the best signal coverage. Lastly, enabling the software offloading in your firewall settings may boost network performance. Hope it helps!

there is no reason to connect to the highest frequency band just because it is the highest frequency band. What matters is available bandwidth and congestion, you didn't make that clear.
