@JosieIrons5 жыл бұрын
Sabrina Garcia ah so hard! Did you see my transparent rain coat from a few months ago?
@notyourtypicalmidwife95455 жыл бұрын
I come from a country with a tropical weather where everybody dresses up and rain is often unexpected. All we do is to keep a big umbrella in the car or carry a small one in your bag at all times. If any water gets in your clothes it will be just a few drops that will dry away anyway. Nice umbrellas can also give an extra touch to your style :)
@itseunice.m5 жыл бұрын
I would say my tip is to keep water on hand close by. It's easy to get dehydrated quickly on very hot days.

That's #1 priority actually. I've already seen people with heat stroke!

I am from Australia where I have experienced it going as high as 50 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, I was in London during last year's "heat wave" and ironically even though it peaked in the early 30s, it feels a lot hotter because London is so poorly equipped to deal with high temperatures. The houses often do not have air-conditioning available in every room; they are built to keep heat in, not out. Public underground transport is like being in a oven, slowly roasting together. The large hospital I worked in did not have air-conditioning in most areas except the library and operating rooms where I ended spending most of my time during work.

k94tran I also find our heat a lot more ‘dry’ and bearable than the humidity of some of these other countries, don’t you think?

A dry heat is far easier to bear . Here in Menorca it may be only 35° but the humidity is in the 90s

I couldn’t agree more with all of these tips, especially the organic fabrics. I cannot wear anything othet than cotton or linen in the summer. I am in Germany and last week we had 38 degrees 🥵 The only colours I’ve been wearing are white and beige (ok and some lemon yellow). I would also highly recommend having a bottle of water with a squeeze of lemon juice to keep you hydrated and it tastes great! Xoxo Alix

I'd suggest bamboo, very thin wool, or moisture wicking short socks as they don't stretch out or get water logged near as much as cotton and can help you avoid blisters. I learned the hard way walking around for only a few hours in over 100 degree farenheit temperatures. Hope.that helps some readers as I got very bad blisters that I didn't feel for awhile due to neuropathy.

I loved all the looks but it's impossible to wear them were I live, currently we have 37 degrees Celsius and don't have aircon were I work and many other places.!My tips for people who live in similar climates : hair up and play with shapes,everything about the fabric choices Jossie mention is 100% correct, jewellery only on ears and fingers(necklaces burn on your chest),hats open in the middle,loose clothes (strapless or sleeveless),ditch the bras and get nipple covers (a lot of them cause you are still going to sweat and loose them,put some in your purse),and final tip dilute peppermint essential oil(8-10 drops)with water in a spray bottle shake well and spray it on your body !
@liviusss5 жыл бұрын
OMG, how can you work in that heat without AC?! I feel like every company should have AC if you are in a climate where summers are very hot (of course, if you are in an open space you'll have the office feud between those who want to have 25° and those who want to be really chilled at 18°).

@@shireads2954 If I was blessed with a 32HH like most Greek women here I would rock them like there is no tomorrow.What they usually wear thought is a different kind of stick on bra like this one www.walmart.com/ip/Invisible-Push-up-Strapless-Bra-Self-Adhesive-Backless-Sticky-Bra/303897602 and the always carry an extra in their bags just use deodorant in the chest so it won't slip from the sweat and reapply when needed,oh carry the deodorant to your bag as well

Great video! the only thing I disagree is on big sunglasses, I just can´t use any of them, my nose sweat and my face sweat with them, horrible sensation, On summer I like to use really thin sunglasses and most important of all is choosing those ones that barelly touch my nose bridge :) regards from Italy

When I lived in London,I recall there was a heat wave too,I lived in cotton long sarongs,tube tops,anything cotton I loved lacy antiquey flowy type ( ironically just like what your showing) romantic style - boho...I call them. My God,you are so lovely! Look tall & slim ( like me) blonde / fair( like me) I'm much older..... I adore jewellery mostly gold chains,I agree what you say re makeup. No glam,light,but I still play up my eyes bc they are one of my best features. I love big floppy hats circa 1970s Problem here is the wind some times. I wear my cute Steve Madden slides pink w big bows just adorbs!!! So comfortable. I usually wear my hair up,as it's shoulder length. I always carry Tatcha skin mist in my bag to refresh on a hot day. Costly ,but so worth it! Oh man.realised my tips are same as yours! Also pop into Epsom salt baths to chill & de bloat from the heat!!!

My summer ideas to add/try:- - For makeup, try shimmering body oil on your collar bone and shoulders for some evening glamour - Another beautiful trend is scarf watches, scarf bracelets, or simply wearing a silk scarf on your wrist (search Pinterest to see how they look!) - Use a silk scarf to tie hair; there are also scrunchies with silk scarf ends for an easy way to wear the trend - All white jewellery flatter most outfit colours & skin tones - Raffia material is beautiful too as earrings, bangles or a clutch bag - Have fun with colourful prints (tastefully of course ;) ) Tropical flower prints like plumeria/frangipani, birds of paradise, hibiscus, orchid, or fruit like pineapples or lemons, or leaves like palm, banana or monstera; vintage tropical prints are great. I think I know the lovely shorts suit you were talking about Josie, the pink one you featured on a couple of your previous videos (can't remember which videos exactly, a link or two would help). Thank you for another helpful video!

You always look chic and cool Josie. I love living in Spain but do find July & Aug too hot. Definitely agree, go for leather sandals that don't make your feet hot. Cool fabrics, not too tight. A fan is permanently in my bag in the summer! And I've bought a inexpensive lemon cologne 🍋 from supermarket, which I've put in a spray bottle, and misting that over you instantly makes you feel cool and smell good to too! Great tips! x 😄

It's 40*C here in Greece. Anything that touches my skin causes a reaction, even the straps of a shoe. It's awful!!! In my humble opinion, the most chic thing you can do in the summer is NOT look like you're dying. Nice flowy dresses, a nice braided updo will help. As for makeup, be smart. I only apply a tiny amount of foundation around the nose and spread it towards the perimeter of the face. Some eyeliner will work as it won't melt and a nice statement lipcolour will make you look like you are wearing makeup even if you are barely wearing any. I chose a nice, watermelon pink for the summer as corals look awful on me. Powdering your nose and forehead will make you look less like a shiny, sweaty mess. Another thing I do is carry a thermos in my bag. Even if I buy cold water, temperatures are so high that it becomes warm in 5 minutes. drinking a lot of water makes you look less heat striken/exhausted. I also carry a thermal water spray and a hand fan. I have many in different colors, so I choose one that matches my outfit.

Fab tips! One more thing, if you’re even mildly allergic to costume earrings, stay away from them when it’s super hot as your body is busy trying to fight off the mild infection on your lobes, and possibly raising your body temp like a mini fever while it does so.

@@Tiesquel yes, the regular ones for sure, you want to die in them. But a light, flowy one, let's say that silk is doubled, that kind. Abother choice would be to wear an underwear like shorts and a bralette instead of a regular bra. Although not everyone is comfortable wearing it, it is appropriate when shown.
