The color advice is so important. I saw another youtuber the other day trying on a haul, and she was probably unaware that all the light went out of her face when she put on a black top. It improved when she added white to the black. Just trying things on in the mirror, as Josie said, with a critical eye will help. If one color doesn't look good on you, it might just need to be paired with another color. I've noticed lately that I look too pale with white and pink, but pink and gray is just right.

It's so true about pearls!! I think pearl stud earrings can make anyone look better instantly. Also rolling up your sleeves when wearing a blazer (esp an oversized one) looks much more feminine. Thanks for the well explained and thought-out tips!

In this video you showed yourself in a floral dress with a basket bag and blush espadrilles. That was the first video of you I ever watched. It made me smile to think how much has changed since then. Your videos are like watching a fairy tale or Jane Austen novel come to life. Lovely clothes, handsome prince, adorable puppies, and the dreamiest house in England. Your videos inspire me and bring me great joy. All the best to you.

Great advice! My favorite is having a good tailor!!! Fit is really everything! You can have the most expensive designer garment but if the fit is wrong, it just won’t look good. Conversely, you can have something that didn’t cost a lot, but if the fit is great, you’ll look like a million bucks! Also love switching out the buttons! Great way to update a piece to give it new energy and appeal! You give such helpful fashion advice! Well done, Josie!

I'd also add to your list, and say, taking a photo of what you wear every day. It sounds weird, but I started taking photos of what I wore for half the year and it was eye-opening to see what my style "uniform" was (always jeans!), but it forced me to experiment with different colours that weren't black as I wear a lot of it, and different looks. I'm a huge fan of neutral colours now, and also earthy tones! If you're in style rut, definitely get a rail, and pop things in there and have a play with what you own.

You're so right josie proportions are so important when choosing your clothes. I always have the issue that I love peplum style tops so much. They are always the first thing I want to buy but they just always hit me at my hips in a way that it makes me look so much larger. I bought and discarded so many tops like that over the years because I really didn't get why I hated them on me.I sadly have learned the lesson now and completly forbid myself from buy anything with that cut.
