sadly they are protected in the u.k.,creating havoc in the ponds,lakes and rivers here.they kill anything and everything,and are still being released into the rivers.keep up the good work in your neck of the woods.

How do snares work on land trapping like this for otter?.. never trapped otter but we arnt allowed to have conibears on land. Are they prone to chew out? I found my first ever otter in a small lake. Im guessing he is going back and forth to a creek 40yards away. Maybe i can find its trail because i have no idea how to trap this Otter any other way with steep banks and deep water. the banks are totally riddled with groundhog holes so im wouldnt even know where to start as far as finding a possible den. It going to be hard enough to find the toilet.

330 is too big for River otter.I have caught them in 110 ‘s. 160’s are about perfect size to get them by the head. 330 catches them at the hips.
