@gregorysmoth003

She’s explained in some of her long-form videos that yes, it is the same, because it’s the same thing that’s causing it. The only difference is the skin color, not the cause, and she gives ways to treat the causes in the videos. I would give them a look through and see if anything helps!! :)

Hi, glycolic acids and other alpha hydroxy acids are great at tackling hyperpigmentation. Start off with a 5% treatment every other evening and remember to be religious with your spf application year round. Apparently tinted sunscreens are superior for addressing hyperpigmentation but other spfs should help too!

@@kuma1326 proof? She looks pretty natural to me. Some people are naturally blessed with beautiful full lips like hers. If I am fully hydrated my lips look quite full and I have not had work done. Using regular exfoliation like she is recommending minimizes fine lines and skin texture. Also some of us don’t age as fast as others due to healthy life choices- exercise, whole foods, hydration, no smoking etc

@chelseabunker2391 She's mentioned having procedures done on her channel before, in other videos, and interviews... she runs and owns her own business for various cosmetic procedures like filler and laser treatments. It's not a secret or something I'm accusing her of. All this info is available on her own youtube channel and website. Having natural features you love is wonderful and I'm happy for you, but there should be no shame in paying for cosmetic treatments either.

I used a glycolic & lactic acid product and I woke up with red bumps, like hives on my face. Not like acne. I tried it again another time (to confirm that’s what caused it) and same thing but less intense. Is this something you have to get through and adjust to or am I just allergic and should stop? Normally I would just stop but I read somewhere this happens to some people and they have to keep trying until the skin adjusts.

it's really trial and error, try a weekly (or twice a week) short contact therapy first before thinking of a leave-on, and start with a mild acid first if possible, like mandelic acid, lipohydroxy acid, or gluconolactone and don't break your bank trying new things out, either 😅 make do with what's readily available to you, so like if products with those acids listed above are out of your range, don't bother, go with the regular glycolic, lactic, and/or salicylic acids with short-contact therapy (say 5 min and then washing off) once a week at first if you're sensitive to certain fragrances/ingredients/oils/preservatives, do avoid them when buying anything new - person with oily/combination acne-prone and sensitive skin

Does anyone else think the audio in her vids is always a slight bit off...like a quarter-second faster than her lips moving?

You may not have makeup on, and you look amazing but it seems clear that there's a filter on, no?? I think if you're highlighting that you have no makeup on, maybe also turn the filter on? Full transparency is important to people and helps set a more realistic standard. I've learnt a lot from you and love your work. I just also value transparency

I guess mascara and eyeliner are not considered "makeup" in the context of this video?

What do you think of neosporin for helping the skin barrier. I am using that and niacinamide and shea butter. For hydration. Periodically i have started to use salicylic acid periodically for cell turnover. For the hyperpigmentation. Also i’m not oily. But the damage skin barrier has given me overly dry skin for the moment . The hyperpigmentation is the part i hate but i know my skin has to heal.
