I have found this pattern to work for Newborns: Cast on 26 pegs, rotate knitting a row then purling a row until you reach a length of 3.5 inches, decrease on both sides until you are down to 6 pegs (total of 5 inches), continue you working as you have for 3 more inches, increase the stitch until you are using 16 pegs, continue until the entire work is 13.5 inches. Equals out to 80 rows total. I hope this helps.

This was a great tutorial. I am new to loom knitting and was able to make a diaper cover in one day, no problems. Someone mentioned she wished there were verbal instructions, but I am the opposite. I loved that this was strictly visual. I would watch a section, pause, do that section, restart video, etc. Thanks again!

Hello Tuteate, your videos are my favorite to follow. Who needs a voice when the visual is slow and methodical. If you can list the yarn weight that you use in your tutorials it would be greatly appreciated. Carry on!

Have you used this over a diaper to keep baby dry or is this just for looks (adorable, btw)? How many would you cast on for a 1-18month? Or 15 month old?

For a new born would you use a smaller loom like a 26 peg loom? Could you post a video for all of us please?
@Tuteate9 жыл бұрын
+Theresa Mauragas hi! Since this project is worked in flat panel (in rows, not in rounds), you don't need a smaller loom, you just need to use less than 36 peg. Here you can check some pictures of the process that maybe can help you see how to adapt it to other sizes: www.tuteate.com/2015/07/08/teje-unos-pantalones-cubre-panales/
