I lost 140 lbs, reached my goal weight and got pregnant after 10 years of infertility! I’m so grateful to have my son wouldn’t change a thing but I am struggling to lose weight postpartum. He’s 19 months and I have about 50 extra lbs that I’d like to lose. Like you say sometimes those last 10 lbs just aren’t worth going for so honestly I’d be happy to lose 40. I weighed in at 190. Goal is 140 but I know I’d start to feel good at around 150 and then could play it by ear. I know this isn’t exactly a “mini” cut. But that’s where I’m at. I just want to feel good again and have more energy to keep up with my toddler! Thanks for everything you share… posts, videos, the book! Grateful for the help you’ve provided me!

You’re advice helped me lose the first 80 lbs and reverse my pre diabetes. I’m done trying to get it done the fast way, and going back to what works. Started a mini cut today. I have 80 pounds to lose big picture, but this time, instead of going for 80 lbs all at once, I’m going to do it the sustainable way - for the first time ever. No more crazy restrictive diets. I’ve been yo yo dieting my whole life. I’m so grateful to have found your videos. I’m really hoping to join inner circle soon. Being a mom of three with two little ones (2 special needs) working from home and still trying to find ways to help my community around me… it’s not easy. But it’s doable. I’m doing it for me and I’m doing it for them!!!! I know I’m gonna have much more energy be more clearheaded after I get my health under control I have set multiple goals and divided them into a few mini cuts. First one starts today, starting weight 220 Goal weight 190 No set end date I am committing myself to 10,000 steps every day weight training three times a week I truly enjoy doing hot yoga so committing myself to that twice a week Eating 2000 - 2200 per day Thanks again for all you do! Congrats on your new baby ❤

Hi Jordan! Mom of three kids (had them a year apart from each other 😅) . Gained extra 30 pounds after my last baby. Lost 10 pounds during Covid and since then stayed the same 160 lbs. Inspired by your posts, decided I have time before Christmas to feel confident again and hopefully lose the extra 15 pounds I’ve been holding on. Doing strength training 3 days a week, steps are easy to do with three small kids , haha. Still learning on nutrition though, sometimes I can go all day not eating and then enjoy take out late at night 🫢 After a week, I weighed in at 156 but went up to 158 today. And I’m not giving up! Your posts made me realize that it takes time and that I can do it! Thank you for all that you do & congratulations on your growing family!

Love these videos oh man. My mini cut started about two weeks following a fully indulgent Italy trip. Trying to get from 140 to 127 ish. Walking has been my best friend in Italy but trying to find moments during the work day to not sit is really hard- feel like i sit all day. I lift heavy 3x a week but feeling quite stagnant. Love your no BS approach to coaching - you put in work, you see results. Mazel tov on the babe!

I'm about a month in on my cut and I am down 6.5 lbs. I started at 185 on my way to 150-155. I am not changing much what I eat but working on portion sizes by measuring food and tracking calories. I also have started doing more cardio (walking, dance cardio, Step and a little bit of HIIT.). I've done a cut before, not to this extent but after a few weeks I get into a routine and it seems to get easier. Your reminders that the scale will go up and down has helped me not to stress. I allow myself cheat days and don't stress about them. Thank you for that advice about remembering to enjoy yourself here and there... In moderation. So far so good.

I've been an inner circle member for a while but I struggle with consistency. My goal is 165. Long way to go but I'm not stopping! I've tried Weight Watchers for years and would lose then gain it back. Even made it to Lifetime once. But the last ten years have not been good weight wise. I've had health issues - breast cancer, hip replacement, 2 knee replacements, hysterectomy . I finally feel like my body is good enough physically to do this, I just have to get my process going.

Thanks for the amazing content Jordan! I started a cut yesterday as well, starting at 168 pounds and want to get down to 158 pounds. I couldn't agree more that consistency and sustainability is the right way to think about cuts. Also can't thank you enough for recommending walking as much as you do. I just moved to a city from the suburbs and I walk at least 10k steps everyday, which I can clearly tell has a positive effect on my physical AND mental health. I plan on sticking to that since I know I can sustain walking that much, and mix in 3 days a week of weight lifting, and an additional 2 days of running (I love running, I run 5k, 10k, and have run a few halfs too). The diet is the main thing I want to control (and what I've always struggled with since I am a HUGE sweet-tooth and love carbs and sugar and more sugar). I am going to start with eating 2100-2200 calories a day, which will put me at a 200-300 calorie deficit I think, and see where that gets me after 1-2 months. Thanks again for all that you do!

Thank you so much. I have been following you on Instagram for a while now and when you started talking about this mini cut, I knew I needed to learn more. On September 11, I officially started and weighed in at 152.6. Today, October 4th, I weigh 148.0. I would have quit from the yo-yo on the scale if it hadn't been for watching you. My goal is to get down to the range of 130 - 140. That is where I feel my best. I'm on my way! No specific time to get there, though it would really be nice to be in that range for my 15 year wedding anniversary, which is next August. Thank you for sharing your journey. It has helped me so much already. - Kelly PS - your little girl is adorable.

I started my mini cut at 189, currently sitting at 187. All I've done is what you're doing, eating small portions and not eating like a jerk. My thing wasn't wine it was soda and sweets. So instead of having 3 sodas a day, I'm switching to zero calorie drinks. Instead of eating 4 cookies I'm just having one. I've also upped my protein intake so I can stay full longer. It helps that we got a new smoker so all we want to do is smoke more meat and it's coming out delicious.

This is amazing info, per usual. I’m also doing a mini cut…I’m a mom of 2 girls who stayed home during the pandemic (no daycare and I can’t work remotely). I stress ate as well as “treated” myself more than I needed to. Now my clothes don’t fit and I can’t afford a new wardrobe. More importantly, I don’t like how I look and feel. So I bought your book and giving in to this amazing space that you’ve created. Thanks so much for it! I’m doing tons of research on doing a mini cut. Your page has been a huge source of info for me on gathering my info so I have my ducks in a row before I start. Like you, I’m noticing my pants are fitting a little tighter. Only looking to lose 10-15 pounds but want to do so at my own pace and something that is sustainable. In my past I had a history of binging and purging, so doing things in moderation is super important to me. I don’t care if it takes 6 months, I don’t want to make myself feel so limited in my nutrition that once I hit my goal weight I break the hinges and go balls to the wall. I got a personal trainer at the beginning of the year and it was a huge eye opener to me wanting to gain muscle and get stronger and I feel better than I ever have, just have a little extra weight I’d like to see come off! Starting at 170, wanting to be down at 155-160.

Starting weight is 174, body fat is 31%. Goal body fat is 26% and I’d like to be 165 but I don’t have a specific number. I’m going to be following the 3 plates 2 snacks from your KZbin. Hi Jordan! Hello from the little red dot called Singapore! Got inspired and motivated by your cut as I've been out of exercise for a few months due to an injury. So I started a week ago. Starting at 123 and my goal is 110. I'm 4 - 5 days in and see lots of fluctuations in my weight but not too worried about it as I used to be before as I understand that it isn't linear. Also signed up for a gym membership when I started the cut and going to be incorporating weight training during this cut. Have always struggled with trying to eat sustainably and being extremely paranoid about each calorie i consume but am trying to be more conscientious about it and to turn it into a lifestyle rather than calling it a diet. I'm excited for this next few weeks and am glad to see so many other people who are doing it as well!!

Started my mini cut today thanks to your inspiration. I also just had a baby a year ago, well my wife did, but this is baby number 2 and it has been much harder to stay on track. During my wife's first pregnancy and my first daughters year of life I lost 40lbs!! Best shape of my life and loved it. I was down around 190 give or take. Along comes daughter number 2, yes proud girl dad!!, And the weight and management of my own health has gone down. I am right now around 215 with a goal weight of 195. Starting off by hitting the grocery store and making a promise to eat at home more, because we have been eating take out much more with the schedule of two kids, age 4 and 1. Let's crush this!!

Hi Jordan 👋 I've always been overweight but started focusing on myself during the first lockdown and using your advice and changing small things that I could maintain long term. I lost and maintained 70 lbs with never counting macros. I loosely did the 3 meals two snacks, walked, trained, water and slept. I'm still maintaining but now I've plateud for about 18 months. I know I need to cut but I find it so overwhelming I feel safe with my training, walking, water and sleep. I've tried a few times to cut but so worried I will go back to restrict Vs bigne cycle so I give up and just stay where I am in maintanence. I started at +280lbs and I'm now 210. My goal is 180. I am on the journey to lose the 25 lbs that snuck up on me before I got pregnant with my 3rd kiddo. I am thrilled to be down 15 lbs since I started tracking - and only 5 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight - and really getting back to portion control and increasing my veggies. I realized for myself that the best way to lose weight was to just start to focus on nutrition and walking. As soon as i started to include cardio, running or weight training i gained weight because i was much more hungry and ate more. When i looked at the calories i was often shocked to see how little extra calories i burned through exercise even if o felt completely exhausted afterwards (like 150 to 250 calories) - on the other hand, i ate like 500 - 700 calories more due to the increased hunger i had. I do not have increased hunger when i include walking. Later on i always included weight training and running etc because it makes me feel good, but when i was solely focused on weight loss then its just nutrition and walking for me.

Just finished Week 5 of my 8 week mini-cut, and down about 8 lbs! Having a set time frame to be in a calorie deficit mindset (but without a specific goal weight or deadline) has been such a game-changer for me. Knowing that this is only 8 weeks of my life allows me to be more consistent and focused instead of constantly being in the mindset of "needing to lose weight" 52 weeks out of the year. The ultimate goal weight right now is 150 (that may change when I get there), but I'm not tied to a deadline or date. I'm just taking it in small, focused chunks of time - for example, after these 8 weeks I'm taking a week off from counting calories or focusing on calorie deficit, before jumping back in for a 4 week cut, then a week off to enjoy Thanksgiving, then another 3 week cut before taking 2 weeks off to enjoy Christmas and New Years. This mindset shift has been so freeing, and I'm thankful for the example you set and the content you put out!

Joining you too! Have been working on it since I had my first baby in July 2020. Gained around 25 pounds, mostly during maternity leave, breast feeding is so hard and it definitely got to me during that time. Not an excuse but it was a struggle for me and food was my comfort. Anyways fast forward to now I’ve slowly lost about 15 but am working on that last 10, which always seem to be the hardest yet the ones that make the most difference. Would love the privilege of joining the Inner Circle to help get me there. Long time follower, aka lurker in the background 😅 Love following you and your growing Neen family! ❤️

I just started a "cut" a few days after you started yours. I've spent the majority of this year prioritizing consistently working-out which, now 9 months into the year, I have been very consistent with , but haven't lost any weight. So I decided a week ago, its time to start focusing on my nutrition, now that i feel I have the "movement" part down. My starting weight is 213 and my goal is 160ish (the lowest ive ever been is 170, I may re-evaluate when i get there) I have spent a decade yo-yo dieting, and im really focusing this year on doing small steps and taking my time, getting one habit down then moving on to the next. While also correcting my way of thinking. Even though the scale hasn't changed much so far, I have had such a big change mentally and physically this year, the last thing i really need to get down is to consistently be in a calorie-deficit (or a malorie shmeficit, lol).

I’ve been following for awhile! I’ve always loved your simple approach to fat loss. I’ve been doing a little mini cut for a couple months now for my wedding in December! Starting weight at the peak of my fiancés military deployment was 195- currently down to 188 and goal is 175! Thank you so much for all your content and tips.

I've been working on a mini cut as well! After years of binge/restrict cycle I took some time this year to heal my relationship with food and thanks to you I feel ready to focus more on nutrition and start to shed some of the fat that I've put on in the process of healing from binge eating. Would love to try inner circle!

I am part of the inner circle and joining you on your mini cut. Right now my weight is 144 and my goal weight is 130. I've been tracking my weight and consistency with the trackers in the IC (Thank you). I love all the tips and reminders that I can't eff this up. It isn't going to happen overnight I have to stick with it for the long haul. I'm still enjoying myself and foods I like just less of them. I however, have cut back my alcohol in take to help me. I look forward to seeing where I'm at in 90 days. I'll be a whole new me by the start of the year.

I started doing a mini cut similar to what you're doing right now, after becoming inspired by you. It's a great motivation seeing your stories every morning and following along.

Hi Jordan. Thank you for such an informative KZbin. I’ve been loosing weight on and off over four year but now at 47 and perimenapausal I’m at my heaviest I’ve been. Been waiting for the video before starting a mini cut on Monday! I’d like to get to 196lbs so will take a while but looking forward to this new journey with new perspectives and new mindset. Thank you 😊

I just joined the IC and watch your videos while on my treadmill getting my steps in…that’s where I just was :) Started my cut on Sept. 6th and I have consistently gotten more consistent with my nutrition over these 3 weeks. Like you I am expecting a “whoosh” any day now. I’ve been weighing approximately the same over the last 6 days. Thanks to your videos and the IC, I am NOT freaking out and getting pissed off about it. Just waiting patiently, while staying the course, for the scale to catch up….I’m .8 oz from being back in the 100s :) Goal is to lose 30 lbs overall. Thanks Jordan -

I began my 'mini cut' about a week ago, first by not getting those high calorie, low nutrient snacks I thoughtlessly was buying at the store (chips, cookies, etc). By not having them in the house, it's much easier to focus on more filling foods that align with my fitness goals. This week I planned out and prepped my meals for the week to make grabbing takeout on my way home from work less appealing. It's much easier to make dinner after a 12 hour day when I already know what I'm going to make and the vegetables are already chopped! My focus this week is simply portion control. No specific foods are off limits, so you better believe I had a donut yesterday. But because I've been limiting those things (one donut instead of two, huge win for me!) and continuing with daily movement, I'm already seeing improvements in my energy and the scale.

Hi Jordan! Been following for years and love your content. I just had my first baby 13 weeks ago; a little girl also. I totally feel you and NeeNee on the Team Little Sleep train😂 I started my mini cut this week! I had been walking a lot postpartum but today was my first day back in the gym to help with my cut. I’m currently at 126lbs and would like to get back down to my pre-pregnancy at 120lbs. Excited to start incorporating a few strength sessions a week on top of walking and nutrition. As always, thanks for all you do! Super motivated by your realistic and transparent approach!

This is exactly what I needed. Raw, honest, direct truths. I'm doing a mini cut right now as well. At 159, highest weight I've ever been, goal is 140. My clothes are too tight. I've been eating like an idiot, that's really all. Stress has been a factor that I like to use as my excuse but at the end of the day eating ice cream every night and having candy and wine are the real culprits and I know better. I know it's not that hard or complicated, I've just been putting it off. Thanks for the honesty to make me feel like I'm not the only one who can come back from eating like an asshole for a while lol 😊

I am doing a mini cut , trying to lose 10lbs. I was able to successfully lose weight (30lbs) within the past two years. I have been enjoying my time with my significant other since he got back from deployment however it is take to reel it back it and get back to a place where I am happy with myself. Your videos always motivate me. Thank you.

Started a cut a week ago. Learning about the whoosh was a game changer for me. I'm one of those people who would see the scale hover around the same weight for a week and give up. This time I'm sticking it out.

I have not started the mini cut. I have to be honest my head space is shot. I was doing so well in a CD and working out regularly and I loved it. Then my husband got hurt and I put myself on the back burner and have not been in the basement on the tread lifting any of the above for way too long. I have to admit I'm scared I don't want to see the number on the scale. My food is good in my option during the week. Sundays not great football season. I know I need to get back to it but it's hard. I do thank you for always encouraging us and helping us understand in "real" words if you know what I mean. Thanks for always doing this.

This year is full of mini-cuts for me. I decided that I was going to lose weight to prevent health issues that run in the family, but I wasn't going to starve or make myself miserable over it. So I decided to start off with losing 15 lbs every 12 weeks, for approximately 9 months (about 1.25 lbs per week). Then, 10lbs every 12 weeks for the next 9 months (about .8 lbs a week). There is flexibility in the time frame since I know weight isn't a constantly downward line, but having set goals and documenting the journey helps keep me motivated. I only did two changes to my life - moderation in nutrition (using your calorie calculator) and working out 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes. I started in May at 217 lbs and am currently at 192 lbs, with my next goal at the moment being 185 lbs by November 1st. Taking it in small chunks has done wonders not only to my mental health but to my relationship with food. I no longer see eating as anxiety-inducing or feel the need to constantly judge it in "good or bad" terms. I eat salads and fruits and veggies but I also eat pizza and burgers and ice cream. I finally feel I've reached a point where I can both enjoy food while fueling my body with it. The smaller goals have also helped me build my workout habit. Instead of trying to go ham from the start and giving up when I'm too sore, my body has slowly become accustomed to movement and weight training. I feel having a solid foundation will make it easier for me to up the time/days when I hit plateaus or slumps.

Currently doing a cut too!! I started out at 173.6 and am down to 168.4 in four weeks. Following your guidance in your book Eat It! for a rapid weight loss ascending caloric schema and happy I’m moved into my fourth week and more calories 🎉 Trying to see if it alleviates some medical stuff…and to try and take a fat off and reveal some muscle I had built, of course until Covid hit at my granddaughters 1st birthday party 😢 Back to feeling better and getting back after it all and I am succeeding ❤😅

Hi, Jordan. thanks for sharing. Loosing weight and doing a cut doesn't have to be overwhelming, for sure. thank you for showing that. That is my issue, i get overwhelmed, and lose patience with myself I have just finished your book, and having watched yourself on the mini-cut, well... it's all possible, it's all in my hands, it all can be done and it is my responsibility, but it doesn't have to hard and strict. I JUST HAVE TO BE CONSISTENT! So, my goal is to loose 15-20 kg, no time limit, I have already lost and 20kg during pandemics, but it was on keto and now ( predictably) it is back and forth, fluctuation of 5-7 kg So. now I am 72 kg, my ideal weight is 50 kg, and my goal weigh for now is 54 kg. ( I am shoooort, 150 cm)))) what I have already started is weightlifting ( I have been consistent with 3 times per week for a month already) what I need to work on is NUTRITION: portion control and oh well, alcohol. more than anything I want to reach that balance where I don't have to severely restrict myself that led to overeating all the time. My daughter is 5 years old and she is watching me, I am an example of everything in this world for her. Thanks for being real and open about your journey. Risha

I’m planning my own mini cut starting in October. Looking to lose about 10 lbs and very similar to Jordan, just because I want my clothes to fit a little better! No end date, but once the holidays hit, I’ll take a pause because I’d like to just enjoy myself during all the holiday social obligations. Thanks for all the great content!

I gained 40lbs during my pregnancy, I was able to lose that weight but I was already obese weighing 174 lbs prior to being pregnant, I am currently stuck at that weight, I was being consistant and had already lost about 5lbs in 2 weeks but went to visit Family outside the country and just started eating like everything in sight... It's hard being a 1st time mom, but that's not an excuse so I am getting myself back on track and aiming for another 40lbs down no matter the time it takes🤞 thank you for all your videos and advise on instagram, much love for you and your sweet family ❤️

My cut started back in March. My goal weight is 135-140. My starting weight was 171. I’m down to 147 and I’ve lost 30 inches! I feel amazing. Currently at a plateau myself. I’ve been consistently doing cardio 2x a week, weights 2x a week, then I end it with yoga. I do this Monday through Friday while my kids are in school. And take Saturday Sunday atsmy rest days. Loving your videos and posts on this cut.

Thank you for sharing your story! Very motivating! I'm working on a cut right now after having a summer of relaxing. I got married earlier this year and was able to shed some weight. I decided to use the summer to heal my relationship around food and not stress on what I'll look like. With that being said I'm up to 165 and would like to get back down to 150-155 again. I'm hoping to dail in the nutrition also!

Great video with a lot of important points! I also enjoyed the BJJ intro as I got into BJJ just three weeks ago, I will have to try the wrist lock next time someone underhooks me. Im on day 3 of my month long mini cut and I'm looking to shed about 5-6 pounds because I feel quicker and more agile at that weight. I've also been working (struggling, if you know - you know) as a PT for about 8 months now and I'm doing this mini cut along side one of my clients to inspire her to stay accountable and we can go through the literal ups and downs managing our weights/intakes. I'd love to get some insights from the Inner Circle and get some inspiration for how I can go on and develop my own coaching! Thanks for the video Jordan - You always have sound advice and your journey keeps me going on the daily and focused on the habits instead of the immediate results (career-wise).

Love all of your videos! I just recently had a baby and have lost 40 lbs in 4 months (bonus is I only gained 12 lbs with him)! My goal has been to just get to a healthier weight range and have more energy to enjoy my kids as well as improving my blood pressure. My goal would be to lose 70 more lbs and I don’t care how long it takes to get there. I recently read your book and it really helped change my mentality on losing the weight this time. I’ve been lifting weights about 3 times a week and getting my steps in daily on top of doing a small calorie deficit (so I can maintain my milk supply!).
