So much of what you said resonated with me. Most specifically, just because you are eating healthy doesn’t mean you are in a calorie deficit! Time to get serious and detailed even if it takes 2-3 months to understand what my body needs.

Another great video! I think my situation is similar to what you speak about.. I’m about 10 lbs from my goal weight and haven’t been able to loose it.. may consider counting again Thanks Susan!

Great video! I have a menopause question......so I’m soon to be 54 and am still having periods, but am sooooo close to starting actual menopause. I was complaining to my ob/gyn last Fall about weight loss, and she told me that right now my body is super stressed as I’m so close to menopause. I did WW last Fall for almost four months and lost 3 lbs. I was tracking and never went over my points. I was floored when I went back and calculated the macros for those points. My avg calorie intake was about 1050 per day...🤦🏻‍♀️. I was starving all the time. I’m 5-3 and need to lose about 45-50lbs ( which I’ve carried for 10+ years now). Do you agree about this being a hard time to try to lose? Thanks 💞

When you say goal weight times 12 a) is goal weight in lbs or kg and b) does that give you your rough calories?

I am 61 and finished menopause for many years.I am on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) I am just starting to lifetime weights but my belly still looks like I am a old lady. What can I do to lose this roundness and pregnant looking stomach

I thought HRT helped you not have that. I know I’m not her, but I can tell you something that I did that helped. I’m post menopausal and not on HRT. I’m thin but I had this little hard lump on my lower belly that isn’t fat or visceral fat. I also looked pregnant. I found out that the lower belly muscles actually get weak with age, and it becomes distended due to the inner guts pouching out. I’ve noticed my belly getting flatter since I’ve been doing strengthening exercises on that area. I hope that helps.

I have done a lot of research into weightloss during menopause and everything that l have read tells me that things Are different for women premenopausal, menopausal and post menopausal as your hormones determine what your body is going to do. Being in a calorie deficit or over exercising can spike your insulin and make you hold onto fat so you need to get your hormones sorted to enable you to lose weight. Do you have any experience in this area to be giving this advice and if so what is your opinion?

Build muscle and get good sleep. That will speed up metabolism. It has nothing to do with age. It has to do with how lifestyle changes as we age. People don’t exercise as much when we’re older. I’m not there yet, but from her previous videos, that’s what I gather.

.....and also that my "goal" weight may not necessarily be the weight that my body can maintain at.

All I did was start riding my bike and I also ride it to the gym, and I gained some fat. 🤷‍♀️Not fair!😂People keep telling is I need it. That doesn’t help. But I figure it will settle down after my body realizes there’s no emergency going on.

How is the title misleading? It literally includes questions that I was asked in the IG Q and A. You can fast forward through anything you dont want to watch.

@@susanniebergallfitness138 It's misleading because the title is about losing belly fat during menopause and it ended up being a Q&A with multiple questions and you have to fast forward to find the question about menopause. Nobody wants to do that and go through the entire video to guess where it is. Some videos on KZbin have chapters, maybe you should add that. It would save people more time or change the title of the video.
