I just found your KZbin channel, found it from reading your book and I HOPE HOPE HOPE you make more videos. I love having a fitness person out there my age, in her 50s, who can help me get through menopause, gain muscle, lose weight and get healthy!

These are great! I always plan my day the night before in terms of what I am going to eat and I find it to be so helpful. Since I am working from home it is so easy to go to the kitchen and grab random things, but if my day it planned I don’t do that.

Susan, I love all your videos and the information you provide. I have seen the video on losing weight and the one on gaining muscle but I am still confused. Maybe you can help me better understand. I do a combination of weight training and cardio. I have been focusing mostly on weight lifting because my goal is to be strong but not look bulky. I am post menopausal and have noticed the scale gone up but now I am not sure if it is fat or muscle. Which now I don't know if I should cut calories down or continue increasing them in hope that its muscle that Im building. So frustrating. Sorry if I sound confusing. Hope you understand what i am trying to say.

How much protein per day is recommended? Great info thanks
@justjan25762 жыл бұрын
I had heard her comment in another video that it's 1 gram per lb of body weight. I've heard others recommend that same amount but to base it on your goal weight. I don't recall if her recommendation was based on your goal weight or current weight

There is a video where she recommends protein intake=your weight goal

The older you are, the more protein you need. So, if you're close to or over 60, plan on eating quite a bit more protein than the current recommendation is.
