For anyone who needs to hear this: I love that Alicia made that disclaimer at the beginning about being easier on yourself, however girls watching this need to understand - YOU SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF CARBS. I see so many “healthy eating”/weight loss videos where they don’t eat RICE, PASTA, BREAD, ANYTHING. Where every carb source is subbed out for a veggie. I used to do this and it led to an ED. Please, please please include carbs in your everyday meals and don’t feel guilty about it. Do not be afraid of them. Also, you do not need to lose weight during quarantine or at any time in your life.

Monica I agree with you!! I eat carbs breakfast lunch and dinner.. but I never feel the need to snack! Carbs are so important! If she had subbed out rice in her lunch and actually had pasta with the sauce for dinner, she maybe wouldn’t feel like she needed the snacks because her body would already be fuelled up by the carbs!

Complex carbohydrates are necessary but simple carbohydrates such as chips with lots of oil etc should be eaten a lot less than complex carbohydrates (pasta, bread, rice, cereal and potatoes).

Yes thank you for saying this. I didn't feel like being mean or discourage anyone but I hardly see her eating good healthy carbs. Rice is not bad as long as it's brown rice. There's whole wheat pasta. Legumes are filled with nutrition and fiber. Sweat potatoes even potatoes are good if cooked correctly with the right healthy oils. I too started out listening to all these girls posting their low carb diets and soon I found myself with an ED. You always think that's not going to happen to you especially when your seeing results until you start too feel guilty that you had a slice of bread or gave in to a cookie.

yeah i totally agree with this thread! I feel like alisha has a slightly off definition of "healthy". or, at least a different definition than I do. which is, of course, fine. I don't think food obsession is healthy, and as someone who knows what that looks like, its hard to watch her talk this way on her videos when i know what a young audience she has.

The most delicious, easy, 2 ingredient breakfast ever: What you need: 1 banana 1 cup of muesli (you can use oats but I prefer muesli) 1 tablespoon of honey (optional) Half a cup of Berries (optional) Method: Mash the banana with a fork Add the muesli/oats Mix them together Add your honey Then add some berries Done! Trust me it is sooo bomb, simple to make, has few ingredients and is healthy. I have this for breakfast every day. Make this and reply to this comment about what you think!😀

hello beautiful. During this time, it is not about to stay productive and focused. This time has taught how school is mentally draining and equally frustrating. I gotch you. Try absorbing how you feel. Express it. Try listening calm sounds and relax yourself. Imagine yourself in the position you want to be in. Allow that energy which absorbs you to do better. ALISHA (and everyone else idk), eat the cucumber with lime it tastes soooooooo much better, oh and if you like cucumbers eat it the same way with jicama because it's also really good, I grew up in a mexican household and that was my favorite snack ever. Also you should eat more things with lime because the citric acid is really good for you and your immune system especially right now

I made a really good drink with the tajin. It’s a lemon and tajin rim then you put the sparkaling ice drink preferably the pineapple coconut one and fill that up about 3/4 of the way then fill the rest with orange juice. It is a non alcoholic drink that is soooo good. It’s like your taking a shot with the lemon and the tajin. Just make sure you don’t put to much tajin cause then it can get really sour, so add to taste.
