Here's a rhetorical question! Did God do us that way? With our shortcomings and such?
@addiesgoingon5 жыл бұрын
Derek Childress in my opinion, which can be wrong, I don’t think it is the same and those questions are not legit in this topic. It is true God never gave up on us, nor He will never give up on us, but, first, we are not God. We are imperfect and corruptible human beings. You cannot corrupt God. Yes, we are called to love like God loves us, but the Bible also says in 1 Corinthians 15:33-34: « Do not be misled, bad relationship corrupt good moral. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God--I say this to your shame. » and also 2 Corinthians 6:14 : « Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? ». You can practice love, we have to always forgive others, but, sadly, there are times and people we have to let go of. It is not abandoning them. But, holding onto someone who is toxic to you is extremely dangerous for your soul. You take the risk to corrupt your own soul, and developing anger and unforgiveness and so many other soul ties. God did not deliver us to be again a slave to those kind of things. Jesus did not die for us to be forever upset because of someone’s actions. There is a saying which says that « you can’t keep dancing with the devil and a sky why you’re still in hell ». Go, if you gotta go. God will deal with the toxic people. Actually, you leaving them could be the best blessing you give to them - for, if God’s willing, it will open their eyes and they will see that what they were doing is wrong. Some people, and most people, nowadays, are way too pride to see the gentleness, patience or whatever of someone until they lost it. We need to lose in order to enjoy gains. Imma stop stalking but long story: Yes, we are a light in this world. Yes, God called us to love others. But, sometime to love means to leave. While forcing yourself to stay with someone toxic, you put yourself in danger and you’re not helping them - because you’re, basically, telling them « the way you treat me is okay, I will endure it ». And talking to them is, most of the time, useless because they are often prideful and you can’t heal a wound if you let the knife in it. May God bless you, and have a wonderful life ! 🙏🏾
@derekchildress55 жыл бұрын
@@addiesgoingon this is very good, and you are right! God so loved the world is why I say this. It was never His will that anyone will perish. The Bible also says a light cannot be hidden but is put on lampstand for everyone to see. The Lord even says to let your light shine before men so that they may glorify your Father who is in heaven. I'm not saying fellowship in what they do, be be loving in such a way that they see His light. A good example is going to work and you know a lot of them are bitter and unsaved. Situations arise and you have the opportunity to take the high road and show love. This has the power to impact their life and spark a curiosity of what makes you tick. You keep walking in this and you may have an opportunity to bring the Gospel to this person (remember the great commission). Jesus says that He will make you fishers of men! What you said was still powerful! I love you and peace be unto you!

We volunteer in the homeless community & for the last almost 2 yrs have assisted 1 woman with many issues, mental health being one of them. I wanted to be obedient to God; this is what got me started in this endeavor however I'm getting emotionally exhausted, basically being used by this woman. I get that boundaries must be held in place & will address much of how I feel but love? No; I never feel love for most others outside of Gods family. Does God want me to love the unloveable the same way we love other Christians? I just don't know how to even try anymore. I do know that it is only through Jesus that we can truly love anyone. Help plz

Brother Allen, I have a situation and I can sure use some guidance. Its my husbands mother 😩. She is not married and has been single for MANY years now. She is not a widow and her health is decent. She lost her public assistance housing and now has been couch surfing bouncing around from one family members house to another. She has not had a real consistant job in about 20-30 years(lived off the system this whole time) She recently took a few live in nanny jobs out of state where she worked in exchange for room and board. But she never sticks to them for more than 2 weeks. She seems to want someone in the family to step up and just take care of her and all her needs. Always lookimg for a handout. She has a lot of siblings she has stayed with but has worn out her welcome with all of them and is asking to come stay with us but i really dont want her to. She has had issues with stealing in the past, is VERY manipulative and passive-agressive and has mental illnesses and i just dont want to have all the stress that come along with taking her into my home with our children etc. HOWEVER, I want to do what im SUPPOSED TO as a christian dispite how badly i dnt want her to come and stay. Can you enlighten me on what the bible says about this? Ive heard things about taking care of the elders but also heard things about not throwing your pearls to the swines 😓 really need some help with this. Ill be praying about this becaise im just so lost and its weighing on me heavily.

My mother told everyone she could that I was beating her, she lied, yet everyone except my sister who knows the real deal believes her! She is 88, and her mind is intact, but because she did that, incase she falls up or down the 50 steps she has to climb, I had to leave my daughter and friends to move across the country so I couldn't be blamed if she fell. I sit here alone, I still talk to her, say nothing mean, or even bring it up, but I'm crying on the inside, full of hurt and pain. I hate her for the 50 years of abuse, that's just the last time. I pray for her every time I think of her, I say in the name of Jesus I forgive her. Honesty, I want her to die so I can go home, and I don't know how to stop, makes me as bad as her. I need Jesus so badly, thinking that he is mad at me cause I harbour hate is making me sick. Don't know what to do? #sodepressed

How do you love someone that you don’t wanna be with anymore.due to lies and manipulation. Lies being, I just found out that I’m not legally married to my “husband”. Do I deny myself and allow God to work in my Heart even though I want to move on? I feel stuck and unhappy at times. But God is great so I wanna honor God. So I constantly think on things that are pure, true and noble. I still show him live in spite of the situation because I know that’s what God requires. I don’t treat him bad at all. I do forgive him. I want to move on though.

There is no love to acknowledge the degradation or the degraded person who wants no help: No, I conclude with such an individual we don't love or even like the same way, we just don't! Why? Because the other will not seek solutions but make problems, while I seek solutions for the problems that aere there. The is only love in showing the way, which is Jesus Christ, Yeshua: amen. I have a question that I've never been able to find an answer for - maybe you can help? I love the way you describe things. In this video, you mention how Love is not jealous, however, God is perfect love, and He IS a jealous God. So, how can love be jealous, yet not jealous? That's always confused me. I know there are different contexts that come into play, however love is love, and God is love. Is it two different kinds of jealousy, or is our love not the same as God's (which seems contrary to far more of the Bible than this one topic), or am I just not understanding it properly? Any help would be appreciated! God bless! =)

That's actually a great question. So, our jealousy is based on negative motivation. In other words, it stems from a desire within us that sometime doesn't want other people to have things because perhaps we don't have it. That's sinful jealousy. Funny, that is the topic of tomorrow's video. But God's jealousy towards us is actually healthy. What I mean by this is it is healthy for a husband to be jealous of his wife when she begins to give her affections to another man. Why? Because she belongs to him and has pledged her sole allegiance to her. So, that is natural and normal and even healthy reaction. If a husband was no longer jealous then that would imply that his feelings have waned and he doesn't even care what she does. The same is true with God. He is jealous when we become more attached to other things than we do Him because we belong to Him and have pledged our sole allegiance to Him. I hope that makes sense.

THE BEAT by Allen Parr that makes perfect sense, thank you so much for explaining. The day I posted this question, God showed me things that made me think it was the way you explained, and your reply had confirmed His words for me! Thank you for all you do - you're a great help! God bless.

I am going thru this in my church. Their is this lady at my church who I feel that does not like me. I feel in my heart that she likes to gossip a lot about ppl. When she approach me she state that she loves me, but I do not feel anything when she says that. How do I continue to love someone when I know in my heart that she has a lot of parasites inside of her?
