@javimacias1215 Thank you! Unique is what we were going for. Actually, the 85 had both bolt patterns, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2, these came factory with the 5.5, which is what these wheels and spacers are, the wheels are factory late model 20”‘s that are 5.5 Also, thanks for commenting and watching!

An 8 3/4 rear out of a 68-70 B-body will give you the clearance you need on the wheel lip, but it will make it tight on the inner wheel tub. Not hard to modify there though.

@moparhotrodshop8 ай бұрын
@enjoythesho1992 they will come out, but the bolt generally seizes inside the bushing and it doesn’t want to come out There’s no benefit to taking the springs down, you can take the drums off and swap the axle from below the leaf springs to above to lower the truck.

@@moparhotrodshop gotcha I'm about to do mine and watched a few videos and some drop the leafs and others don't I'm thinking like you no real benefit to doing it unless adding drop shackles love your truck I would recommend replacing your rear bumper with a sport bumper or ram charger "style" bumper

I did the same flip/control arms on my 92. I wish I had cut the coils. I was worried that it may be too much, but in the end, the front sits a lot higher than I'd care for. It doesn't really look any lower than stock. It must be, but compared to the rear losing 9 inches, it doesn't seem like much. I'm gonna need to run big and littles to make it look right. Yours looks like a really fun driver!😎😎
@moparhotrodshop Жыл бұрын
@scottwilliams5196 I’d really recommend cutting a quarter out of the spring and work your way up as needed to get the right ride height. Stock shocks still work fine, and if you didn’t know that it was lowered you couldn’t tell, the ride is still good.

You are by far and away the most courteous person I have encountered on KZbin concerning this type thing!!. I prefer stock look ride height on most things, but especially pickups..and I don't care for big diameter wheels...that said, I recognize everyone else is entitled to modify their vehicle the way they like it, and I respect that. Maybe some people think I am trolling or something, but I am simply voicing my opinion. I must admit I am alarmed by the sheer numbers I see on YT of people lowering old cars and trucks, just by default, even if they are not keeping them themselves...often the first thing they do before doing needed work to get the vehicle road worthy. Seems pretty soon, if you are shopping for something like that that is stock, you won't be able to even find one. I think you are a class act 😀. Most videos I see, if I make a comment like I did on yours( I am never nasty with my comments), I get very hostile responses from the video poster, like "you are an idiot for not liking this", or "how dare someone not like lowered or modded classic vehicles", or very dismissive or hostile in their replies. You definitely a thumbs up!@@moparhotrodshop
