Thank you, I have the same banjo and love it, but feel the action is a little high on the upper frets too. I am so going to try this.👍👍

Also after you do that consider these things - 1/2” bridge, shimming the neck, sanding the neck dowel stick hole and shimming the back side of the hole. Not sure why but that Pisgah was set so high it was insane.

@@BanjoLemonade I contacted them about it and they said they set the action at 4mm at the 12th fret. They offered what you did as a fix. Maybe male players like that, but most females do not.😃 love your You tube channel.

Thanks Banjo Lemonade (Is that your real name?). Your video was very helpful. I'm helping my friend here in Ireland with her Tenor Banjo. The lock-nut is too high and the action definitely needs to come down a bit. I notice too that the bridge placement is tricky. I have it spot on in terms of position and the harmonics for the 1st and 2nd sting are perfectly in tune, however, I just can't seem to get the 3rd and 4th string right. They are both sharp when played on the 12th fret. The moon bridge you showed in the video looks cool. I see that you have a video on that too. I'll check it out. 🙂

Banjo bridges are flat at the base ?. I sure it's a curve

Mine has a 36" radius on the bottom. This method would be a bit mor difficult. Not sure i have enough material to remove anyway.. need to remove twice the meat as you need to lower at the 12th fret. Thats alot.
