For retail properties, how do county assessors (in CA for example) determine assessed value? Comp sales, land/replacement cost, income cap, inflation, etc? What kind of evidence is most helpful when protesting assessed value?

It's possible but it would only impact next year's assessment; not the current year that you are disputing.

Search for any companies in Rhode Island that may represent property owners in helping reduce property taxes. I recommend doing it yourself but there may be third parties in Rhode Island that do it for you for a fee.

Rental income has tremendous tax deductions so it is the best income I have ever earned.
