Crunch compression is okay, but be aware that it will be uncompressed in load time, so it doesnt change your texture memory, further more it might lag/crash other people when they load your avatar, use crunch wisely guys!

It can crash people if your pc is not as good as some others, personally i've had moments when someone's avatar loading would come close to doing that, it freezes for a good 3 seconds haha

@@20nik I have also heard this for crunch compression. I think Tupper even goes into it during his avatar performance panel that he did during furality. Thry's avatar performance tools does a good job suggesting what to use.

Is there a way to see how big your avatar is before loading it? One day I accidentally clicked something that showed the size of the textures in the materials tab. Never saw it since. It would be handy to have a measure so you can manage this before uploading it.

Thry has an avatar VRAM calculator that is helpful for seeing how much texture memory and mesh memory you're using.

your avatar should have its own material ( ball) you just have to find that
