Yeah. I'm a customer agent rep. And that is defenetly true. We if ever that the agent don't have a promotion we put you on hold and ask for available promotion to our supervisor. And we are trying to find a way to give you that if you are politely speaking with us. Good job

I know this is an old video but, I just got off the phone with Comcast; going from $130 a month to $80 a month because I asked to ditch cable, I wasn’t using it. The rep was incredibly polite and understanding; didn’t fight me in the slightest in asking to just keep internet. I know Comcast has a pretty bad rep and might still, but I think this guy gets it. I went in polite, explained my situation, acknowledged that I know the rep doesn’t call the shots on pricing structures, said I’m not going to kick and scream at you, and I got EXACTLY what I wanted.

Hey, thanks for this video that encouraged me to try being nice and explain my situation. I don't really have alternative internet options in my area so I said the $70/mo bill was getting to be a financial burden and I was considering my options with cutting the internet off for my budget's sake. They were willing to put me on a lower download speed to reduce the cost of my bill. Now I'm paying $20/mo for 10 mb/s, but that's better than $70 a month for 100mb/s and cable TV that I wasn't using (which I had only picked up because when I called last year they just said that was the cheapest option available). Earlier when I had looked at the plans they offered me online they only offered more expensive ones, so being able to downgrade was very good.

This Is generally common,i have encountered comparative issues Like this,am a verizon user though,it's not just Verizon most Popular Carrier network typically do this to Their customers,I can suggest a Guy,who can help you,My Friends requested that I reach him cause he is Their Client customer specialist who help them with Their account,and His name is Tony,you can request that he Help You out.

Exactly! I'm an agent on costumer service and it's all about the callers attitude, it doesn't mean that "if you're being a dick I'm not gonna help you" cause well, that's my job at the end of the day but, if the caller is polite and is up to a dialogue, I'll make sure I find him something, and if I don't have anything, I'll make sure I ask every single department to ask for a better promo. Nice video dude.

Dude I am getting over 800 MB a second. And that is with Comcast I don't know what they're doing with you but 75 MB a second is not very fast you should definitely have them expand that to the 800 mb per second

Thanks for the advice. I plan on trying this out when my promotional rate expires. Might be a challenge for me though, because I don't have the base package (I have one of the upper-tier ones), so I forsee them maybe saying "oh, you can get a cheaper bill by selecting this plan with less speed" schpiel.

I just want to lose my land line and modem. But keep Xfinity "public" WiFi hotspots for 20 gigs then throttle down. I think that service only is $30 and you don't need any hardware. My cable internet is $50 now and I downgraded the speed twice for lower price. Don't know if my home security is any better than the network since my pc and tablet connect by wifi, not a secure cable. I don't want my passwords compromised. And I don't want my devices to be commandeered as a hotspot.
