I appreciate you and your content < Technical Analysis is good but I find It truly baffling that major crypto youtubers just look mostly at pure T.A and completely ignore the bigger narrative of why BTC is pumps/pumped and why the future outlook will be even rosier than it seems. It's kinda irresponsible to ignore the fact that each ETF launch so far has caused a major dump at the peaks of BTC. We were already on shaky footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps, narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market. More emphasis should be put into day trading as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market. I have made over 24 btc from day tradng with Florina Steven insights and charts.she has been one step ahead of other analysis…

Great video, but I would caution you on claiming losses due to theft. You won't know how much you lost with FTX until the bankruptcy proceedings are completed. I have no expectation of getting that money back, but the IRS doesn't consider it a loss or theft until the company has been dissolved and all available funds have been distributed to claimants.

Im interested to know why we are paying tax on crypto when its created in cloud and its on a blockchain which is not a physical thing. What are we gaining from the tax office or what are they giving to us to build our crypto business in return for us collecting or paying them taxes??. I could understand a physical traditional business is setup to pay taxes but then again, what are they giving us to help build our physical traditional businesses??..One business has a physical address and the crypto business has no physical address except a cloud address that does not indicate a physical address or location..please make me understand why crypto has to be taxed and for what reason..

That’s like saying you shouldn’t have to file taxes on buying the rights to a jpeg image, or a web adress or even creating content online. Everything is of value and when there are taxes to be collected you best believe they will take the oppertunity.

Let's say I buy 1 BTC at $10000 in 2020. Then I buy 1 BTC at $20000 in 2021. After 11 month I sell 0.5 BTC. Will I pay short or long term gain on this sell? What if I sell 1.5 BTC?

It depends on "which" BTC you sell. I use the Spec ID method when establishing basis, but automated tax tools usually use FIFO or LIFO.

remember that selling btc into usdt is not an income, because tether is a token. Selling usdt to usd is taxable.

That's incorrect. The IRS considers the exchange of one virtual currency for another virtual currency to be a taxable event. Your tax assessment would be calculated using the fair market value of both cryptos relative to USD. On exchanging USDT for USD, you also would have a minuscule gain/loss just because the peg isn't held exactly at 1:1.

However, for most virtual assets, the proper term is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. I don't know why you're bringing up this point, though. I was commenting on the interpretation of tax law, not on what it would take for the IRS to enforce tax law.
