Should raffle the car off when its finished. Do a giveaway. If we buy are certain amount of merch we get an entry into the draw or a ticket based draw. I reckon you'd get heaps of entries. You make money and we get a chance to own this rig and advertise your business at the same time. I'd love a chance to win the HJ aswell 😁

Cool but you should have drilled out the grubscrew block and used 2 nuts to lock it so you have future adjustment also a good idea to adjust the park brake shoe at each wheel before anything...

I don't think single flares on brake tube is legal is it.
@yugoboss26794 жыл бұрын
Mick Ellis bunji mob and yamagie performance are allowed to
@cwhaaatt4 жыл бұрын
Yeah no chance they are legal.. get a decent flare tool and learn how to run brake line ffs iv done over 20 cars and never used a bending tool on 3/16 brake line and never kinked it only place you need a tool is if you need a tight bend at the end with a nut.. but iv also never ran and flared a brake line in the car like that always remove and put joins for future servicing

Really needs double flares
@mickellis87474 жыл бұрын
@@vsclubby355 There's a reason single flairs in brake systems are illegal. There is a lot of pressure in there. You think about it, you have a brake arm about 300mm long and a piston about 12 to 16mm Dia. most of the time vacuum boosted and you are using the strongest muscle group in the body to apply force to the lever. I have seen single flairs straighten out and fail.

I have been using instrument tube benders for years like these www.ridgid.com/au/en/400-series-instrument-benders They run a 5/8" radius and always do a good job on bundy tube. These pliers are also excellent when working in very tight spaces a lot easier than using fingers. www.kincrome.com.au/3-16-tubing-bender-pliers These are excellent for straightening up the tube and also do a nice job on NO2 lines kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJqpnmR9irhql9U Very simple to make as well if you don't wish to buy them. As for the Flaring tool he has used it has the first and second stage irons for the flare so no single flares were used I would hope. Those do an ok job if used with care and are a hell of a lot cheaper than the lever action units. Normally a single flare is to short for the nut to tighten up. Very easy to see without removal if you know what to look for. The only problems will be the passenger side cable sheath flopping in the breeze on top of the diff. That has to raise a good 5" at least when it sits on its wheels then at least another 4" of upwards travel. It should be attached to the diff housing until it meets the other then route for movement. There also is the problem of the mechanical advantage or lever that has been removed from the system. The Hand Brake is just a straight pull inside the car no lift up or foot application. Those Willwood brakes might have a Banksia hand brake style of hand brake but it will still need a big effort to engage them. If they pass it in Victoria fine but it needs a lever built into the system so the wife can apply it and have it work more than once. From memory the hand brake handles in a HK~G break of pretty easily?
