At the back of the motor and in front of the swing arm there's a tank with rubber pipes coming from it what is this and what is its for!!

I don’t have the bike here to look at it but I assume its part of the emissions. Possibly an EVAP canister

@@113Cycles it seems to be a vacuum for the tank and the carbs but i can't see were it gets it's vacuum from!
@113Cycles2 жыл бұрын
The Carb would create a vacuum. If a hose goes to it than that is probably the source of the vacuum

That is the evap cannister and part of the PAIR air injection system. On older models that crap was only on CA models. On the last several model years it was on all of them. I removed ALL of the emissions crap on my bike, and it was almost enough to fill a 5 gallon bucket. It made the bike several pounds lighter and a lot simpler. It also made it possible to actually fill the gas tank all the way up without causing starting and running problems.

Could I just use Molly on the U joint also?
@ASmith-bl5tw Жыл бұрын
I have a new drive shaft so it's already out anyways. Wouldn't be hard to coat it in molly like the rest of the teeth and splines lol

I bet it would be fine.

Im currently re building a 1994 vn750. This will definitely be on my to do list. Have you done any carb work on the bike? Im going to be tuning mine soon since the previous owner did some work on it.
@113Cycles2 жыл бұрын
All I had to do with these carbs was clean them and put them back together. Lucky this bike was completely stock. It had just been sitting for awhile. The carbs are a real pain to get to I can tell you that

@@113Cycles i took the motor out so it was made easier! The air box sitting over it makes the job harder so i done all the work on the beach and then lifted the frame down on to the motor!

Great video! Is there some kind of gear oil that needs to be changed where the gear bevel case cover is or does that have motor oil along with the motor? Sorry I'm a total newbie at this stuff haven't been able to find real good information on the gear bevel case cover area.

I’m not sure. Check out VN750.com you should be able to find the answer there. There’s a lot of great information about these cool bikes on that site
