I just think that the most players “lurk” because of being a solo. And in solo matches players don’t keep their lanes, fight for the most kills or just jumps in front of you. The natural response is than that some other players just separate them selfs from the pact.

Yeah but there's a big difference between working map control when separating yourself from the pack and just letting your whole team die without really impacting the round at all. At that point you're basically just hoping that they win the game for you, because they're entrying, they're taking sites, they're getting bomb down, etc. If you just hide the entire round hoping for a free frag then you really aren't impacting your games at all.

That's what a low level player like you would say. Support players are responsible for pulling off entries for their team by knowing every single utility position and timing. Every player uses utility but every serious team has a player that far exceeds everyone else with their utility usage, hence the are usually 3rd onto a site.

For my team, I occasionally lurk, but I also play support. I usually send someone to lurk and fake a site when 1) they have little to no util or armor 2) they did not have a buy. Usually the fake works pretty well, and they survive long enough for us to rotate. I usually lurk and strike when I hear my opponents rotating off of the site and call a rotate after I take out the defenders at the site I was lurking.

Honestly, if you're solo q you can literally just go AFK for 10 minutes and then go to the bombsite your team didn't push. If you're low rank you'll catch ppl out of position so many times

I’m always the entry fragger(dier) even when I don’t wanna be. As in, if I have an awp, I still end up entry Ing cuz my teammates bait me. The seldom times I get a teammate who doesn’t bait. We take whatever site, instantly, proper trades utility. It’s harmonious. Just never happens cuz everyone’s too scared to just hold W.

I play the perma bait position myself often. I just usually try to trade on 1 or 2 picks and get attention. I don't do it every round, depends on my team too. A lot of teams can't accommodate my play style in pubs and solo queues. A lot of average players need to watch this to learn how to use a solo preferred player.

In my defense there's a big difference between holding an angle or passively waiting for rotates, and _pausing just long enough to deceive the enemy then follow them like ninja as fast as possible while they rotate then wreck their whole world when they try to contest site_ Edit: planning on a lurk is a poor gamble so unless you're a god I think this should pretty much always be a fluke ("when the opportunity presents itself") e.g. you somehow go undetected and can push once the enemy is no longer committed

As a silver in elo hell, I play lots of mirage / inferno. On mirage I like to rush underpass (as a terrorist) kill window jump in from the bench and rush jungle kill connector stairs. It works a LOT. pretty much wins the round if your silver mates can do anything.

It's true. You are better off learning how to aim and at least nail nades and flashes in the lower ranks. People eff up strats being too greedy (Unnecessary peeks and poor movement) and 2 seconds after death have a critique about what you are doing. If you are soloing, make sure you can hit your shots and 99% of complainers will not say a thing about you, but whomever the bottom fragger is. Ridiculous but true.

I am not lurking, I am making a wide flank! Be there in 2 rounds. Jokes aside I suppose I am the lurk for our team. I tend to break off the team and go cause chaos or try to intercept rotates when they end up going as 4 in a chokepoint. For example if they plan to hit A down mid or second mid I will generally take control of banana and try to push in once I hear people rotate off. That way we know if the site is empty and if it is I can take control of it and everyone else goes back. Or if they rush down T long in Train I will try to make sure popdog is clear and push in from the back to cut off connector players, otherwise I just stick with some default spot with someone else.

Depends on your team. If they are toxic or baiting, just stick to them under the radar and try not going first. If you know you can get a kill without getting traded for free, you might go for an entry. Other than that try get in the mindset of playing deathmatch, dont trust your teammates too much (I make this mistake too often) and try be as hidden as possible whenever possible.

usually, we call them baiters people who say they lurk but fail to win 1v1 duels all game sure timing and stuff and can come in but crosshair placement map knowledge player movements on que's as well as a bit of good aim can make the difference when playing this position correctly - however gold nova ranks i recommend learning the entry and stuff not just hold and rush flash your team in or be flashed in don't be scared of dying just push together play together and enjoy it. Toxic players - baiting and bad sportsman ship can usually ruin an easy game because people haven't got the right mindset to be bothered to play.

i use lurking totally different than explained, i only lurk when all hell breaks loose, let me give u an example.... we playing mirage, guys want to go mid and break to B, instead of going through apartments in B, i went with the team mid, smoked connector and window and bullets flying out, molly this, flash bang that and just noise so loud that u running cant be heard, now i start my lurk, one guy fighting connector and the others fighting B side i run jump window tell my friend at connector wich side the guys at by the sound of his bullets leave him for my friend to kill, i pass by the market into B straight through their defence and i take ou van and forest, anchored myself at market and round won, my way of lurking is using chaos to make movement that is much needed be available whenever the map gets loud, my lurking is 100% connected to sounds i hear and thats why i use that to my advantage

Being an IGL and telling my lurker to follow me is a pain in the ass, he always tries to bait the team but sometimes does some insane 1v5, I try to let him lurk in different situation hold backstabs or passively push but sometimes he ignores it and rushes it.

Baiters are the worst. Last week I encountered one of the worst. We were T-side Dust 2, second round "eco". Yellow buys a Mac-10. We push B-tunnels, I have the bomb and a glock. Yellow stands behind me and blocks me, screaming at me to go. In the moment I say f it and I push and surprise, I get gunned down for free. Yellow then pushes in, gets 3 kills and we still lose the round. At least a few rounds later we found out he is cheating, so we all report him and then kick him. Moral of the story: Dont bait for kills in a team game and dont cheat in a multiplayer game.

See Voo Iim a great fan i just wanted to narrate a scene of my game where my team was 13 and the opponent was 14 we were in a semi buy with all the people with guns in B the . I Ran to apps and killed one picked his awp and killed one more. The t side had planted and my team just died when i was at b short i killed two one with collateral and one with a normal awp shot i knew one was hiding in the right so i just peaked him very fast i no scoped him but in veins it was a 85 tag we lost that round but after we won te next two to make it a draw actually my rank by mm is silver 2 but i dont think that is right because when i played my games before i used to play in just 15 to 18 fps not more than that but now I can play with around 70-80 fps and so y awping improved considerably if you want i can send you my game i try hard my aim is not that crisp that is because maybe i dont understand the best sens for me voo just help me by finding any problems and it is that since some days only i could play good cs due to better fps just help me by finding mistakes and all i try to be the igl sometimes when my team asks me to do so so just find the mistakes bye.

I am this guy that sees the whole team going banana and then I go some place else like mexico. I know I'm "supposed" to go and help my team, but their decision to go 4-5 banana is completely unconscious, no one knows why they went there and what they wanted to do. They just go there to soak grenade damage and gift the CTs all the info that could be given to them. If I'm first or second in line I'll go, but any other spawn will just send me mexico or t apps.
