I'm not sure whether he mentioned this or not, but the best way to hit m1s is to have a 'rush' move like a lot of dbz characters do(Trunks blazing rush, goku rush, etc) maybe also like shinjis flash step too tho

You can do the aerial without holding, you just have to click really fast and time it

The way I hit my M1s to is to m1 preemptively and start dashing to the opponent it either catches them off guard or they get guard broken (cuz I didn’t know you could dash m1 and it really helped me out a lot when I learned you could)

if that happens that could mean one of two things. One, you did the uptilt (brings npc up) too early. You have to time the uptilt on the fourth hit of the m1 combo. Or two, you waited too long after the uptilt to click again, resulting in the start of another m1 combo. Hope this helped! Ask if you have any questions!
