Few days after i saw your video, i was driving in Darjeeling country side. I got stuck in a very steep patch of rocky road. Immediately all your comments were flashing in my memory. I engaged 4H and Immediately Jimny roared back to life pulling the vehicle off the steep rocky climb and back to gravel road. I continued driving for 5 minutes in 4H and didnt feel the need for it, so went back to 2H. But thank you. Its always good to see and hear there are people willing to make videos like you did.

5:59 wouldn't it be better to do this routine on at least gravel roads with lower traction? Though, I could agree with the point about maintaining a routine to maintain the 4×4 hardware once a month or so.

Yes you are absolutely right But this is for those places where roads are good n difficult to find surfaces with lower traction Otherwise you are correct 💯

Shifting procedure is the same in Automatic You can shift on the go from 2H to 4H (speed less than 100kmph according to manual) For 4L you need to shift in neutral first and then in 4L and you are good to go

In hills we don’t have 500 meter straight road. We don’t use 4h or 4L often. It may only be used when situation demands

I think that is enough good exercise for the 4WD system of Jimny :-) However....which camera you are using for recording your self footages in this video.....If you Please share your setup

@@shantanus.sangle3518 Part time 4WD system is made for recovery purpose only. Means , if you stuck anywhere in mud, sand or snow with your vehicle,,, then that system will help you to get recovery. If you use it on tarmac, that will definitely damage the transfer case . Paaji want to say in this video about mobilize the entire system to keep it active for real purpose . About not moving steering is also a safety measure,,,not moving the steering on tarmac reduce chance to damage of front locking hubs . Finally it is advisable try to use this practice on nearby field/rural soil road for better safety of the transfer case .

4H can be engaged any time on bad patches, specially going uphills, there is no such need for straight 4-500 metres straight road. Also 4x4 is never needed on highways on higher speeds. You have made 4x4 use like a rocket science, it’s way simpler than you explained.

Yes AT tyres are suitable for the city as well as the highway but it will be a bit more noisy on the highway than the stock one And no difference in body roll you will feel body roll because it's ladder frame SUV but less than other in competition Thank you for your subscription
