Today we will give an antique stitching horse some TLC. I do not know the age of this stitching horse but do know that it is old. After a thorough cleaning I will give the leather seat a treatment of oil. The wood was really dirty. To care for the wood I will use a scotch brite pad to clean the stsitch horse and oil with boiled linseed oil. The key to using boiled linseed oil is to apply in very thin coats. I will apply linseed oil once a month for a few months and then yearly to maintain.
If anyone knows that age of this stitching horse I would appreciate help identifying the age and manufacture. Either way I’m excited to have the stitching horse as part of my tools. I big thanks to Wayne for giving it the horse to me.
