@@GetGlamFam Hi Hun they normally advise that you don't go above 300 or 400゚. Get a wig that has a good bounce to it 1st before you go in and purchase anything more expensive. I've had a job styling wigs so I'm telling you that for years and years and years most people were dealing with synthetic. The human hair is so expensive and a good synthetic and a good technique in terms of cleaning and styling can make that wig look phenomenal. This showman is a pro at what he's doing so keep watching and have fun with it!

For 50 years...and it seems so strange for me to be watching your video!!...Oh how through the years, I have been known for "my look"..lol!!. Your introduction lol!!! the first laugh I have had in a long while!!! I turned over my shop to my sister...when I got married...She walked into a business that took years to build. I worked part-time. Fast forward.... She is very talented, but when customers came in and asked for me...Jeslousy..took over...!!!..I eventually left.. She will not sell or order me ANY wig!!! She takes credit for the store...when I brought her in...she was totally broke!!!..She was a hairdresser...her salon burned...I took her in!!...Her jealousy is unreal....I needed a new wig...I had a health problem..she said they did not make it any longer...a lie!! The area I am in now has a "need" for wigs & wig service. GOD. has restored my health!!! Your video was such an inspiration today!! A friend has offered me a space in his shop...I. just might try it again !!!

😊 I know this post is forever old, but somehow I just stumbled across one of your hair steamer vids and I just watched three in a row! I have the ratty wig. I have the steamer. I have the plastic bag. I'm all in! Absolutely gonna try this technique. Thank you genius!!!

So I’m new to the wig scene by force. You folks on KZbin are making this journey of alopecia less painful. You are adorable and I’m your friend! You don’t have to me mine, but....🤣🤣 You’re hilarious! I have no money to be buyin up wigs and I have one matted at the nape and a wavy curl. I so thank you for this information. It’s hard to believe she is not human hair. Bless you!❤️

GlamFam Hair & Beauty maybe you can help me. I have a virgin hair water wave unit, but the unit seems to dry out and swell throughout the day then gets matted at the nape. Of course it wasn’t like this out of the box. I’m starting to think it’s not human hair. What can I use to keep it from swelling? I e been told spray leave in conditioner with water, but it still swells. Should I just use a setting lotion. I just didn’t want the curls to be crunchy. 🤦🏾‍♀️

It sounds like that wig was made with turned hair, which basically means the cuticles are heading both directions. The cuticles should only face downward. Many people benefit from using the “silicon mix” products on their wigs like that, because it puts a coating on the hair and helps to lessen tangling, but as a fair warning, curly wigs are VERY prone to matting in the nape, as is naturally curly hair.

GlamFam Hair & Beauty I wasn’t aware that matting was natural at the nape. Ok will check out those products. Thank you for the knowledge!😊
