@@GetGlamFam Hi Hun they normally advise that you don't go above 300 or 400゚. Get a wig that has a good bounce to it 1st before you go in and purchase anything more expensive. I've had a job styling wigs so I'm telling you that for years and years and years most people were dealing with synthetic. The human hair is so expensive and a good synthetic and a good technique in terms of cleaning and styling can make that wig look phenomenal. GlamFam Hair & Beauty maybe you can help me. I have a virgin hair water wave unit, but the unit seems to dry out and swell throughout the day then gets matted at the nape. Of course it wasn’t like this out of the box. I’m starting to think it’s not human hair. What can I use to keep it from swelling? I e been told spray leave in conditioner with water, but it still swells. Should I just use a setting lotion. I just didn’t want the curls to be crunchy. 🤦🏾♀️

It sounds like that wig was made with turned hair, which basically means the cuticles are heading both directions. The cuticles should only face downward. Many people benefit from using the “silicon mix” products on their wigs like that, because it puts a coating on the hair and helps to lessen tangling, but as a fair warning, curly wigs are VERY prone to matting in the nape, as is naturally curly hair.
@royaldiadem7624 жыл бұрын

If see I have a synthetic wig on my profile picture. I always get asked if this is my own hair. I advise my friends to keep their wigs clean. I just let my synthetic wigs air dry. Because they have curls in them. I watch your channel all the time. You are good at what you do. Love it!

Hey Glam, I'm new to wigs due to hair loss. I want to thank you for taking some of the fear away by giving me the confidence that I can keep a wig looking good and don't have to get caught into that replacing cycle every few months which, personalty I do not have the fund to deal with.

I usually soak a face towel in rubbing alcohol, and drench the front of the lace wig, in the areas I applied the got 2B glued gel/spray every night, it keeps it clean in between washes. Works for me😊

Holy crow! This is by far the most comprehensive and high quality video I have found on restoration as a whole, as well as the individual skills of cleansing and steaming. Do you have a donation link where I can support your hard work?

Wow, that is a beautiful man! His eyes and humorous character put him over the top 10 finish line for me. I just came here to learn how to help one of my homeless clients de-tangle her wigs, when I get to work, but I ended up falling in love. Who knew my day was going to start out like this? And I just woke up! :)
