Just watched your 4 part series on how to set up a salt water tank and then watched this. Your the only person I've seen that made this look easy. I was about to give up on trying to do a salt water tank before I even tried but you made this seem just as easy as a freshwater tank. I'm now going to attempt a 30 gallon saltwater tank with clown fish (if I can find the right substrate and rocks, nowhere around me can even get freshwater sand let alone live sand and rocks.) Thank you for the great videos on this topic. You have earned a subscriber.

Fantastic video. I think that you could do a video on a right way to treat you aquarium. I am sure that if you tell others the following that would be very helpful to people who deal with aquariums. 1. Before starting to do any kind of operations with aquariums clean your hands thoroughly with tap water any time after do your home cleaning routines. Make sure your hands are free from any kind of detergents, soaps and stuff like that before you start doing any aquarium stuff. 2. Make sure your aquarium do not placed in place where people smoke. Cigarette smoke can be very dangerous for aqua inhabitants since smoke is easily absorbed with water. Same relates to any kind of indian or chinese incense sticks and any other similar stuff, like oils etc. I personally have never thought about that but this stuff can be really detrimental, especially in places where rooms airing do not often performed. 3. Never clean front glass (or any kind of tank glass) with galss cleaners (especially spray way). That could be really devastating. Same reasons as with smoke. 4. Also I would add that if you want to have even better prepared tap water for water changes you can use separate tank, not big in size, with a filter and carbon only filter media in that and constant water movement. Air pumps are also very good option since chlorine evaporates faster with constant water movements, carbon will partly remove any other bad stuff that might be in tap water and also water will be filled with oxygen in advance. Thus tap water will be perfect for water changes. And adding conditioners will do fantastic results in the end. Sounds a little crazy but for those who really care for aquariums that advice may also be very good. I think a video may be created on that topic. That would be really interesting and very helpful for everyone who love aquariums.

Hey, I was wondering if this the appropriate amount of fish in my 55 gallon tank, I haven't gotten these fish yet. I'm thinking of getting 4 zebra danios, 2-3 mollies (maybe), 1 bushy nose Pleco, 3 kribensis cichlid, perhaps 1-2 angel fish, 5 panda Cory catfish, 7 emperor tetras. I would love suggestions, I kind of need them. lol

Honestly, it sounds like that is way too many fish for that tank. Or not even nessecarily too many fish, but way too small of a space for most of the fish in there. Angelfish species generally seem to say on all places ive looked that "angelfish species require a minimum 125 gallon space." so I dont think a 55 gallon tank would be big enough

im also considering that light for my 10. according to mass aquariums and aquasun, its good for softies and a few lps. but i just dont like the atinics. their a dark blue. i asked mass aquariums if he could do a video on just the lights, a reveiw, show the colors and coral growth, etc, and he said sure, about a week ago, so check his channel for when his reveiw comes out. the only other reveiw of it i saw was just like a 10 second clip that was bad quality. it looked dim in the video, but he A. had a glass hood on it which will dim it a bit, and B. the hood was dirty as fuck, which also probably dimmed it, and he doesnt answer comments, so i have no clue as to what it can really do.

@BigAlsVOD8 жыл бұрын
The most affordable way is through evaporative cooling. ZooMed makes an aquarium cooling fan that will help keep the tank cooler - however it will require you to top up the tank more often. Alternatively you could use a chiller. The most affordable for initial price and running cost is the CSXC-1 by Chill Solutions.
