As someone with zero plans to go to a convention or an artist alley, this video was nonetheless very helpful to know

That’s actually very informative I didn’t know about the square reader app thingy since not alot of people carry out cash with them, that can be very helpful

fellow melb marketer here :3 i really appreciate the algorithm gods for this one 🙏I was originally planing to attend animaga and similar events like kaicon this year but lucked out due to being unable to start up my social media. What i do recommend for anyone also in my position of wanting to start out is artist markets >< they're similar to convention artist allies with more of a generalised free for all in terms of the audience. If you have a mix of original art, fandom art and anything similar and want to table with a budget i'd definitely recommend shooting your shot! Bigger artist markets such as Mellow tend to be more selective with who can get in, but smaller markets that are often usually run by stall holders themselves have a larger chance for newer artists getting into the whole market scheme :3 from my own personal experience of looking to table, the prices are usually anywhere between $30 to $100 and you also have the option of sharing with friends too! this was a very goated video 10/10 you now have a new follower 🔥

I've been making art since like 2008-ish, and I've recently started thinking about attending conventions/artist alleys. I've seen so many videos on the topic, but this one had by far some of the best information I've come across. Thank you for sharing all of this with us!

My first con I sold nothing, and my partner had a minor car accident in the parking lot 😅

I had my first con a couple of days ago and made just under the cost of the table, not to even to mention the cost of printing, transportation and assistance. My art is not particularly bad and I get a decent amount of work online. I got a lot of follows from it and conversations with admirers but abysmal sales. It was a weird experience for sure, a huge L when I needed a W lol. I did notice smaller items did a lot better but man I'm not really motivated to try it again.
