I've used this strategy before. The devil is in the details. 1. The problem is that prices and spreads aren't equal on both sides, and therefore they are not triggered at the same time, sometimes not even at all. Meaning you lose on one side and win nothing on the other. 2. Fast market movements can ignore your stop at one side (prop), but execute on the other side (broker). That means you can hit your daily loss limit, while you have very little profit on the broker side (It happened to me 😕). 3. Don't underestimate swaps and commissions, they eat up your profit and add to your loss. Summary: This method of hedging works, but it must be monitored at all times (for manual intervention) and can fail easily (daily loss limit).

This is a very accurate analysis, and you’re absolutely right-the devil is indeed in the details! That’s why at Exo Kapital, we provide 24/5 monitoring to adjust trades in real-time, ensuring risks are minimised. The power of our strategy lies in constant supervision and manual intervention when needed, especially in fast-moving markets. We completely understand the challenges you mentioned, particularly with spread differences and stop-loss execution on both sides. We’ve factored these in, along with spread and commission considerations, to make sure they don’t eat into profits or trigger unexpected losses. It’s definitely not easy, but with the right adjustments and active monitoring, it becomes much more manageable. Thanks for sharing your experience @EmilioBarby -it's great insight!

Yes @peteb9994, it will require more hedging collateral though.

How long would you say is the quickest you can make 10k doing this?
@romainkouiderАй бұрын
This would depend of how much collateral you invest @jdwalkerofficial6202
@zafarhashmi2170Ай бұрын
That completely depends on how quickly you can pass each phase. The hedge doesn't slow it down or speed it up.
