Feeling Christmasy? This warm up is a fast, fun way to make a series of 10 tiny paintings in two different sizes in one sitting. They are ADORABLE and (in today's case) FESTIVE!
You can use any colors and materials you choose for this exercise, the important part is to experiment with putting different patterns, colors, and textures together. This exercise can be used on its own as a collage warm up, a way to try out new combinations of colors/patterns, as an art journal page, and *BONUS* can be easily packed up for travel art.
I’ve previously done this with taped-off squares but never just tracing squares - this idea came from artist Kellee Wynne (www.kelleewynn...)
Materials used: sketchbook, collage paper, and gloss medium
